While we love California, we hate the stupidity of the Emissions Regulation. We've had this vehicle as our primary work vehicle for 5 years and it's great - just loves to run, starts right up, run/drives correctly, etc. However, when we hook it up to the diagnostic machine, it reads stupid error codes, so it will not pass emissions. One says our transmission has an error, so the dealer wants $4,000 to fix it. Problem is, our transmission works great!! Same with the glow-plug that is out - well, the other 5 cylinders work great, so there are no issues starting, etc. The last Sprinter we sold had worse conditions, and that guy had it re-programmed and now, that van is in South America crossing from Panama to Cartegena! And this van is in much better condition! It just had the Left side side-swiped, so that side is 'augmented'... :( (God Love Employees!) The right rear area behind the rear wheel has a small 'augmentation', too... again, wonderful employees... We just took the lettering off and had it clayed and polished - looks great!!!. She runs GREAT, works GREAT, stops GREAT, rides GREAT. If it weren't for emissions testing, we'd keep her. The transmission thing came up 2 years ago, but we get her fluid checked/replaced every six months, and thus far, nothing... Her glow-plug went out about 2 years ago, too, and since then, nothing! No issues, none! But that computer shows that we have to fix the items or we can't get her registered. If you live in Arizona or Nevada, this van is for you! Please come test drive her - newer tires and brakes, etc. If you need a picture of something, let us know - not an issue. The seats have tears, the back-up camera doesn't work (we installed it and we never could get it right...), needs the driver-side switchgear for windows (although they work, thank god), so she's not perfect, but these things run 500k miles, so she has a TON of life left in her.... some lucky SOB is going to get her for a song... we just bought a new one, so this one is gone! Thank you! Just installed a new overflow plastic container (OEM part), as it had a small crack in it, so we did that this past week. Ready for the long haul! She has 159k miles on her, my guy said... On Apr-02-18 at 19:29:15 PDT, seller added the following information: New video's uploaded onto you-know-what tube.... look / search under " 2008 Sprinter 170 For Sale PD ". :) Again, this is not a thrashed van - it's getting sold cheaply so we can get a space back in our parking lot. :) Someone, in a much smarter state (NOT CALIFORNIA) will get to drive a long-lasting, high-quality Sprinter Cargo High-Top van for very little money.... congrats! :)
