Vehicle Detail
This is one of the nicest conditioned Cadillac Devilles you will ever find for the year. The inside and outside are both 9 out of 10 and maybe better. Nearly new tires. Perfect alloy wheels. The body might have two or three small nicks if you can find them. The color is a beautiful pearl white with a gray interior. The paint is near perfect. Anything that looks like an imperfection in the paint is reflections from surrounding objects. All lights, mirrors, windows, radio, antenna, etc. work as they should. No aftermarket junk. This is the way it came off the line and beautiful lines they are. Destined to be a classic if it is not already. I have two Devilles and my wife says one must go. The other has only 58,000 miles but it is not the beauty that this one is. If you like the big cadillacs, don't let this one get away. The interior is as clean as a new one. A non-smoker. Carpet, headliner, mats, dash are all in great condition. A big 20 gallon tank that gets about 25 miles to the gallon on the highway. The motor is clean enough that you could eat off it. It still has the owner's manual. This has the very dependable 4.9, not the controversial Northstar which seems to have an equal number of admirers and detractors. The price is above book value but still a bargain considering the miles and condition. The only flaw is a service ride control light which I have had checked. This seems to be a common problem with cars with the ride suspension. The mechanic saw no problem with the system's functions on this car. He said they could install a rear suspension air compressor which might correct the problem with the sensor but he feels it's a waste of money since the one on the car is functioning normally. He said the sides on the rear both sit within 1/2 inch of what is judged to be normal in height. In other words, no problem. He said that it might last years as is. The only problem would be the sensor light comes on. His explanation for this was that the slightest blip can set one off. As is, the car is normal height and rides like a Cadillac should. If the light is disturbing, hitting the reset button turns it off until the car is restarted. Should the winner want the compressor on the rear of the car corrected, I will work with him on the final sale price to do that. I feel it's best to be totally honest and I have the mechanic's written assessment should the winner need it. Many years left on this nice ride. Email if you have questions and I will get back to you. I live in Tennessee close to Knoxville, and if you are close by you are welcome to come by for a test drive.
