Vehicle Detail
A rare 1977 Triumph Bonneville Silver Jubilee 1 of 1000 produced for the USA. The bike runs great and only needs minor attention (smokes and needs a valve job). Tires, brakes, lights, shifting, throttle, all are in good condition and work as they should. Serious motorcycle enthusiasts only please. I will make myself available for shipping company pick-up. One of the rarest forms of the Triumph Bonneville, this bike was one of 2,400 produced to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's time at the top. 1,000 went to the US, 1,000 stayed home in the UK, and 400 were built for Commonwealth export. This is of course 1 of the 1000 imported to American. The 1977 Bonneville Silver Jubilee was offered as a limited edition of 1,000 for the USA market, 1,000 for the UK and 400 for export to commemorate the 1977 Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The idea originated with Lord Stokes, who was Chairman of British Leyland and worked as a consultant to the Meriden Motorcycle Co-operative. A silver finish with red-and-blue lining was used and matched by a blue saddle with red beading. Primary drive, taillight housing and timing covers were chrome-plated. USA-version side panels had "One of a Thousand" written under Union Jack flag stickers, UK-version side panels had "Limited Edition," and the remaining 400 commonwealth export bikes were badged "International Edition."
