Only 500 of these cars were produced, to be used in the "Hertz Fun Collection" at select airports across the United States. This example has just over 10,000 miles and is in very good to excellent condition. This car was originally sold to the Hertz corporation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As you can see, this is a fully documented example & is in the Shelby American registry. 500 of these cars were produced, 496 were equipped with the robust 4-speed automatic transmission to limited Hertz customer's liability. Car #1 would sell for $190,000 at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in 2015. That car was originally owned by the late Mr. Carroll Shelby himself. This example has accrued just over 10,000 miles in its life, carfax & owner verified. Again, this is a fully documented car with its original paperwork and additional Hertz magazine articles, factory press release material, etc. The paint and body are in very good to excellent condition front to back. The classic black paint with gold stripes is reminescent of the famed '66 GT350 Rent-A-Racers. There is some minor scuffing on the front air dam, mostly confined mainly to the driver's side lower area (photographed above) The body panels are straight and true, the paint is in overall great shape as is the glass, trim, wheels & tires.
