Up for sale is this very rare 1989 Ferrari Mondial T coupe. One of 43 imported into North America, one for each dealer at the time, and this is the 1st one that came into the US.Selling it for a dear friend who just passed away recently. Unfortunately he never got to see the car finished as it was in for a major service at the time. This car appears to be mostly all original, with the exception of the exhaust. My friend wanted something more aggressive and I believe he got what he wanted as it sounds amazing. I personally would bring it back to original since this is such a significant car. There are plenty of original mufflers on Ebay for a few hundred dollars. You could also replace it with a polished exhaust for about $1800 installed.This car came out of a fresh service, and it drives great. It shifts smoothly as it should, the mileage is correct at 63K which isn't bad for these Ferraris, as the 348 engines can last well over 200K without any major issues. I have owned 7 348's and 5 Mondial T's in the past so I am quite familiar with them. This car does have the usual electronic gremlins, so I would probably recommend you go over the fuses and relays. The headlights could use some work, and some of the switches to open the trunk/hood don't function, but there are back-up leversso not a problem getting to anything. I would have the headlight column stalk looked at, this is a common issue with Mondials.AC is cold, power windows, mirrors and even the sunroof work, which is rare on a Mondial coupe.Title is clean, selling for a quick sale well below market. This is really a $50K Ferrari if you can even find one.
