Just in time for the summer, this auction is for a REALLY sweet 1970 (built Dec. 1969) Honda CB750 FOUR, VIN CB750-1015216. This is not a perfect museum piece, but HAS been painstakingly restored with lots of TLC. To start with, the engine has been totally gone through by a factory trained Honda mechanic with over 47 years of experience. The following have been replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts: seat, piston rings, engine gasket set, spark plugs, oil and filter, rubber intake and air box snorkels, cam tensioner roller, front caliper kit and brake hoses, forks boots-seals-and-oil, handlebar grips, drive chain, battery (sealed maintenance free type), valve adjuster cover caps, points cover, clutch lever and cable, throttle cable. stainless steel allen bolt engine set, petcock kit, turn signal flasher, taillight lens, side cover grommets, left hand chrome grab bar and much more. Mechanically, starts right up - electric start button or kick start. Brakes work very well, clutch is excellent, gearbox shifts great all through five gears, all lights and electrical work. Charging system is fine. New paint by a professional shop. All alloy engine cover pieces have been professionally polished. No oil leaks. Stock pipes sound and look great - they only made this type style for 2 years HM300. Factory updated carb set-up (not 4 cable, with removable float bowls). The gas tank is all original, very solid, clean. Timing, valves, points set, total tune up, fresh rings, owner's manual and tool kit - along with a clean California title. We always try our best to disclose any imperfections. Cosmetically, there is some minor wear and tear, as to be expected – call it PATINA - this bike is 47 years old! The white spots in the photos are reflections and there are some shadows. The speedometer and tachometer are original and show signs of age, see photos. The speedometer and tachometer work fine but the odometer does not appear to be moving (trip meter rest works fine). Mileage showing is 25,455 but may not reflect actual. Tires look like new but are probably getting hard. Headlight bucket has a small crack in it. Air box looks to be from a later model. Number 1 exhaust pipe has a slight crack where it joins the muffler, see photos - this doesn't seem to effect the performance or sound. Number 1 carb seeps very slightly when the bike has been stored for a while on the side stand - easy fix or park it on the center stand. Both lower side cover pins are missing but the side covers stay on fine. You may want to discretely zip-tie them to secure them for extra piece of mind. We believe that the engine case had been replaced a long time ago with a new one with no number - see photos - because of the age of the bike and clear title, I had no problem getting the title transferred to me here at Calif. DMV. . This bike is all complete, here is a chance for you to OWN HISTORY! This bike deserves a great home. It has been stored indoors for all the years I've owned it.
