First a brief history, I own 2 IROC's, 86-HT & a 89 convert. I've owned IROC's for the past 12 years. Last fall 2016 we were coming back from a big car show 100 miles away using Interstate 72, IL. It had rained heavily earlier in the day so there was debris( small rocks/etc.) on the roadway that had washed off cars and trucks. When I got home I noticed my left turn signal lens on my 86 was severely cracked - "trash"!! A new pair cost me about $55.00. While installing the new lens it dawned on me what if that same debris had hit one of my glass fog lamp lens??? So I searched eBay and found nothing but older junk yard fogs priced about $100. each. Or I found listings for brand new GM OEM still in the box lamps for about $325. per pair! Then in February this year(2017)HAWKS offers new reproduction fogs for $189.95 per pair. Still very expensive... why not offer a protective cover to guard against such breakage??? I searched...NOTHING what so ever was found!! Sooo... I started my own company "HeartLand Custom Covers" to help other IROC and Z28 owners protect their kool Camaros.
