1979 VW Beetle Convertible 4 Speed manual. There were only 128,779 VW Beetles built in 1979. Only 10,681 Karen convertibles were built this last year of production. It is powered by a 1600cc Fuel Injected engine. 76k original miles and in very good shape. We have owned for 3 years and previous owner painted the car 4.5 years ago and re-covered seats and added mostly new trim to exterior, plus new top. There are two minor paint blemished (see photos). Exterior and Interior of car are in great shape! We have installed new carpet and spent a ton of money getting vacuum leaks repaired in the motor. The only thing we could not repair is a VERY minor oil drip behind fly wheel. This would take a total engine rebuild. Installed new tires last fall before putting away for the winter. They only have approx. 300 miles on them. Bug runs and drives great now! Clock has never worked, but not needed when you are chill in' while driving around. Gas gauge is slow to rise and only gets to 3/4. We always just fill up when it gets to E. Car is always garage kept and always covered.
