VIN # is 107 044 12 005585 Great candidate for a mechanical or full restoration . Very solid body and chassis - only a few minor areas with rust under the rear of the passenger seat and looks like a little are under the drivers seat but these are minor not major ! Clean interior as shown very presentable. This car was owned by the same family from 1985 to 2015 . It originally came in from Hawaii and has never been driven in Winter ! Owned by a MERCEDES collector who passed away last year . I only bought the car because it was selling for next to nothing ! I have other Porsche projects I want to work on and so out this car goes for a fraction of value . Included with the sale is over $250 worth of new front rotors /pads - new engine mounts - tune up parts - cap rotor air cleaner etc - I intended to fix this up but again realized that I have way to many projects to deal with and so this car as well as 4 other vintage MERCEDES I own are going to be liquidated . The good - solid body - no indication of BONDO filler anywhere - clean original sought after small chrome bumpers - clean interior - nice hardtop soft top I was told needs replacing but we know they are inexpensive to do - I also have another soft top frame with excellent black top on it that can be included after the sale if wanted at a fraction of value as well . Car starts right up and shifts and drives fine but it is obvious that a few engine mounts are shot - The a/c belt has been removed so I assume it is not working or needs charging - brakes work ok but as stated before I am including new front rotors and pads with the sale . This car was originally a navy blue but former owners had it painted in Hawaii a blue green color . Alloy wheels have older tires on them that should be replaced if you indent to drive this around a highway speeds . The exhaust I think had a small leak . There is no radio in the car . Comes with an original tool kit and jack with steel spare tire . A few dings and dents and some other small flaws . The best thing going for this car is the solid body /chassis so this is a great 350sl to restore and as you may already know the SL's just keep going up in value so this is a great chance to get a solid builder car for an investment ! Good luck - Reserve on car is about the cost of the engine trans - bumpers - wheels and tops .
