Offered is a 1947 Packard Custom Super Clipper model 2106 Touring Sedan. This is a rock solid unrestored car sold new in Sacramento, CA by Spickard Automobile Company, the Packard dealer in Sacramento from 1933 until 1954. The car has always resided in the dry central valley of California. It is serial number 2122-3940, carries a Briggs Plate #2122-3939, and has the original 356 engine with the proper serial number for 1947 of 511705, so is a numbers matching original car. Overdrive equipped, originally had the Electromatic Clutch but it appears someone removed some of the linkage for that assembly. I have not started the car as someone has done some handy home fiddling with the wiring, but the engine is complete and turns over freely. Brakes actually work! The body is very solid and it appears someone did some high quality prep work anticipating a repaint but then stopped work. The car was originally tan in color. The tan broadcloth interior is all there and very complete, but quite worn and weathered. The car is missing the rear bumper brackets and guards, the gas door, one rocker moulding, several of the grille 'whiskers', the air cleaner, and a couple small trim pieces, otherwise all present and original. Here is an opportunity to own a Full CCCA Classic Packard for a low price. These are great CARavan cars as they drive easily at freeway speeds.
