Up for auction is a 1953 chevy 5 window 3100 pickup. Here is a very solid 3100 pickup that runs and drives. But does need some brake work . Clutch, trans and steering all work as they should. Purchased this pickup a while back .it had been sitting in storage for 25-30 yrs. cleaned carb and added new gas tank and it fired right up. Here is a truck that would be easy to rat rod or hot rod or restore to original. Or drive it the way it is . This truck has a killer patina and very little rust. Passenger floor has a little minor rust thru but an easy fix. The rest of this truck rock solid. It will be one of the most solid original 53s as you will see. Paint is not original but was painted sometime in the 70s but has aged very well. Veiw the pics and be your own judge. Call with questions 606-782-5039. Will help load . As I really don't want anyone who wins to have any surprises. The truck has developed a little miss at high idle and I have not diagnosed the problem as of right now. Starts right up and runs like a sewing machine at low idle . Not sure if it's in the fire or gas mixture. As the brakes go I have installed a new master cylinder and truck does have a good brake pedal but it does need new wheel cylinder and lines to make it safe to drive. This truck drives and steers great with very little play in steering. Again this truck was painted in the 60s or early 70s and it does have chips and scratches. But a very straight and Rock Solid body on this 63 yr old truck. If anyone has a question don't hesitate to ask. On Jan-02-16 at 11:10:34 PST, seller added the following information: I would also like to add that driver windshield has a crack and passenger window and wing are cracked also.all other glass is in good shape including corner glass. Front windshield rubber also needs replaced. This is not a restored truck and I am not selling as one. There are typical repairs that will have to be done by the buyer.
