For your consideration is 1950s chevy truck is actually titled as a 1953 but appears to be a 50 or 51. This truck just came from a barn in Iowa where it has been stored for many years. This truck was actually an original rat rod from from the 1970s . It is powered by a 235 ci engine with a 4 speed trans. I have not tried starting this motor but it turns over good by starter and seems to have good compression. Clutch and transmission seem to be working good salso. Brakes have pedal but are very hard to push. I'm sure brakes will need going through. The old gentleman I purchased it from said it ran great when parked. In my opinion it wouldn't take much to get it running. Now for the body this old truck is needing inner and otter cowl panels some repair to be made on floorboards and little work on drivers fender. Other than that it is a petty solid old truck that has the look everyone who like the looks of this old truck are trying to duplicate.both door latches need to be replaced also drivers and pass door glass. Windshield and back glass are in nice shape. Bed wood is still present but weathered .both the back fenders and bedsides are also solid. Upper cab is nice shape and cab corners are pretty solid .interior is mostly original. With the exception of the seat being out of a later model pickup. Seat tracks are still there if you want to put it back original. This old truck needs some work but would make a very nice rat rod or hot rod with very little work . Already got the look!!! I don't want to misrepresent this old truck as it does need some work but I think it has great potential for someone building a rat rod and a great start on one !!!
