Up for Auction: 1999 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE (BUG). This has been an excellent commuter car for our family. We purchased this used from a dealership in town. Handled nice & enjoyed the gas mileage. New items: Had ice fall on windshield & it was professionally replaced. Had new paint 2 years ago as shown in photos. New tires (only drove for 2 weeks last winter). Drove to work & found out it lost radiator hose & coolant. So new hoses, water pump, thermostat. Doors open & close - power locks work fine - extra key for doors ignition - stereo works great - muffler & undercarriage is in good condition. Seats work fine & fold down to allow loads of room. Interior is dirty & needs cleaned. Needs: Need to replace rotors & pads - since it sat for all these months. Battery was new then sat too long to charge up again. One fog lamp damaged on front passenger side (ice in driveway). Problem starting & running - So this is considered a project car. PLEASE SEE PICTURES! My Brother used it in Norwalk - Then my Sister in Conneaut. Yes, this has been a Family car for many years. Then back to us to keep as a backup car that is how good the bug was to our Family. We are downsizing now or we would have kept the VW. If it helps we spend over $500.00 on the tires & mounting plus the work on the water pump etc. which was done professionally by a trusted garage here in Ashtabula.
