We got the Jeep in on trade from the 2nd owner who used the Jeep in Central Wisconsin on her mail route before trading it in to us. For the Jeep Cherokee's we give them an oil change and place them up for a no reserve auction on eBay. We do not perform any service work other than the oil change and do not provide more information about the Jeep that what we place here in the ad so please do not call asking if we know anything else about the Jeep. Now I am not a mechanic but have worked in the car business for years so I can provide you a description to the best of my knowledge. When I drove it across town and back I noticed the speedometer does not work and the check engine light is on along with the air conditioning not blowing cold. The windshield does have a crack in it in the middle from the bottom about 6 inches long. The overhead headliner is hanging loose but that is common in any Jeep Cherokee, most people just remove it. It seemed the muffler was loud and when I looked underneath I did notice some oil drips hanging from what appeared to be the oil pan. So all in all is this Jeep perfect, absolutely not but does it get you from point A to point B, for me during the test drive it did and for the previous owner she did use it on her mail route until making the 4 hour drive into our dealership to trade it in. The Jeep will need tires fairly quickly and I always suggest giving older vehicles a tune up before putting them back on the road, just for peace of mind. Again this Jeep is being sold AS IS with no warranty written or implied. We will not end the auction early or offer a buy it now price, the winning bidder is the next owner. We expect a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending via credit card over the phone with the remaining balance paid in the form of a cashiers check. Buyers in the state of Illinois are required to pay all applicable taxes and fees. Out of state buyers will be charged an additional $219 to the final auction price and will be provided a 30 day temporary license tag when the Jeep is picked up.
