Vehicle Detail

1969 Camaro Convertible You are viewing a running, driving primarily original car in need of restoration. The car is an original LA car, built in LA and spending the majority of its life in San Diego. The car has 117K original miles. The car can be driven and enjoyed as is, but is a solid candidate for restoration of choice. Original 327 powerglide car. Owned since mid 80’s Please read on for more particulars of the car: Body/Paint: The body is in over very good condition with original sheet metal. The floors and trunk pans are in good condition. Some normal small rust areas in quarters as well a dent in the rear quarter right side. The car is originally Garnet Red with a repaint years ago in the late 80’s. The paint is ok, but average. Interior: Standard bucket with head rest Median Red. Shows signs of age with door panels and seat covers done non stock in the past. Everything is there. Original SW gauges. Power steering. Top: Power top, does not go up, but works going down. The top was replaced in the 90’s and is in good overall condition. Frame is in very good condition. Running Gear: The 327 was replaced with a GM crate 350 back in the mid 80’s. Holley carb with point distributor. The engine was replaced when the car had 111K miles so only 6K miles on the engine since installed, which is how many miles it has been driven since the install until today. The original transmission was replaced with a TH350 rebuilt when the engine was installed. Stock 10 bolt rear end with hiway gears, non posi. Gas tank was replaced in 1992. Suspension: Stock with single leaf spring. The underside looks in very good overall condition with the sub frame is great condition. Clean with no pitting. Bright work: Overall in good condition. Stainless is nice with chrome showing signs of age. Glass: Original with wiper mark on driver’s side window. The side glass is in very good overall condition. Exhaust: Replaced years ago in good condition. Brakes: Stock non power drum brakes all around in good working order with new Master cylinder. Wheels/Tires: Older radial tires with lots of rubber 235/60 15 all the way around with original 8 inch Corvette Rally wheels with trim rings and caps in nice condition. Summary: The car is a solid restoration project to build as stock, or Pro Touring, custom or any theme one would want to build the car. It also can be driven and enjoyed as is until restored. Good car with good color combo for 69. I have over 100 pictures of the car so please contact me and provide your email address if you would like additional pictures. Reasonable price. Great value and a quality car for the money. Disclaimer: The car is for sale locally. The owner has the right to cancel the auction at any time for any reason. No warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied with the car being sold in "AS IS" condition. Feel free to call me to discuss the particulars. Gary 509 993 6918
