Vehicle Detail
A Triumph 1966 TR6C motor in a 1969 T120R frame. The state of Minnesota has titled this as a 1969 model reconstruct. My brother-in-law had this motorcycle for 25 years and never bothered to finish it. We finally came to terms seven years ago and I purchased it. At that time it was in a chopped frame, welded on hard tail and extended front end with no attention paid to rake and trail. I got rid of that frame and today it is as pictured. I've probably ridden it 4,000 miles mostly as a commute to work with some weekend rides. Not many miles I know, but I've had up to three motorcycles at a time during this period. I have the receipts for work/parts over the years and those go with the bike. Some period mods/parts: After market front fender. Headlight and mount. Finned clip for exhaust pipes. Early K & N air filters. T120R cylinder head with dual Amals(new 7 years ago). Tail light assembly/fender. Joe Hunt magneto. Custom valve inspection caps. Webco aluminium primary cover. Recent work/parts: Buchanans Sunn Rim(2.75x18) Bucanan laced to stock Triumph hub with their stainless spokes. Avon Speedmaster MKII tires 3.50x19 front and 4.00x18 rear. Tachometer and electronic speedometer. Baxter Cycle installed valve seats along with new valves, guides, springs(high quality USA made). Local shop over bored to .040 with new pistons, rings sourced from England, this work was performed over last winter. This Triumph is no beauty queen; it has small dents, paint chips and scratches, chrome is not perfect, of course, it seeps some oil, they did when they were new. It is ready to ride though and usually starts on first kick. This is a work in progress, a hobby one might say or it has been to me. Over the winters I would change a little here, add a little there. It is time to pass it on to someone else. You'll have to arrange shipping on your end, but I'll assist with what I can. .
