For your consideration is a very original 1953 3100 .true barn find.This pickup is showing 72000 mi. On odometer which I am convinced this is actual miles after driving this truck.this truck runs and drives down the road straight. Having good brakes at least for 1953. Great motor,trans,clutch ect. Everything on this truck works including wipers,heater, horn,lights ,even interior light works .windows and doors open and close with ease. Body and paint on this truck seem to be mostly original . For the bad now. This truck has rust in a few typical places including inner and otter cowls ,lower front fenders, both cab corner r/l . Drivers rocker also having some rust. All of the areas on truck that need work would be easy places to repair. With all repair panels being readily available. This truck is a rock other than places mentioned. Possibly another spot or two. If you are wanting a truck to work on while you drive it this is it. I have never found a truck with all components still in working order. With some work this would be a very desirable truck which I'm sure already is at least to me. Also needs stops in bed but wood is all there and nice condition. Running boards are rusty. Also floors are really solid aside from where lower cowl meets floor. At some time it appears that someone attempted to repair drivers cab corner but did a pretty poor job. Although all these areas to be repaired are prob. the easiest fixes. Bed sides are also very nice with a solid tailgate and rear fenders. I want to mention again that this is a very tight shifting and steering pickup. Drives as good as any original truck I have seen . Really have to drive to appreciate .although this truck does need some cosmetic work . I consider this to be a very nice old restorable 3100. If you have been looking for one of these desirable 53s don't let this one get away. Outside of areas mentioned this truck has a very good base . Just didn't want to misrepresent this truck to anyone interested. If someone purchases this truck and are not satisfied with it . They can leave it with me and have no hard feeling as I really like and appreciate the condition of this truck and I am proud to drive her down the road. Feels just like back in the day. Also would like to mention truck still has original door panels that are about as good as they get. Original headliner is also present having only a couple of quarter size holes. Still sporting the original seat that still looks very good for age . I don't know where this old truck has been in its life but it was definitely never abused.
