Please do not bid on this lot unless you understand that shipping to your location might be expensive. There is over 100lbs of stuff here!! Here is a true barn find. Judging by the amount of muck I had to clean off some of the parts I think it had been there for a while! 1971 Honda Z50A Minibike, Frame number Z50A 333105, Engine number Z50AE 316337 The pictures say it all. At some point an unsympathetic soul had welded the gearshift lever and kick-start lever to their respective shafts on the engine!! They have been ground off. Also someone decided to spray the whole bike with red primer paint, which has been partially stripped from the fuel tank and frame, exposing what was the original Sapphire Blue/White colour scheme. Missing parts appear to be: the original gearshift lever and brake pedal (this model had both handlebar and foot rear brake actuation); the rear sprocket and chain; the original handlebars; the original foot rest bracket and footpegs. The fuel tank has had filler applied. The inside is lightly rusted but structurally it seems ok. The two mounting lug 'clips' at the front are bent. The frame appears to be sound, but will obviously need stripping and repainting. The wheels are in reasonable shape, but rusty. I suspect the original tyres. No idea what the inside of the forks look like. The mudguard chrome seems to be in good shape but both have some dings. The exhaust pipe is tarnished and has dings at the front end; the muffler is in good shape but the 'stinger' at the end is slightly bent and worn in the inside surface. There is a baggie with a load of nuts and bolts and the rubber cushion for under the fuel tank. The original ignition switch and key are there. New stuff that is included: two sets of (I assume) pattern handlebars; two handlebar levers, two pairs of camcover inspection caps, two pairs of rubber fork gaiters (one Honda); gearshift lever and rubber (Honda); crankcase seals (Honda); cables, plain and black (Honda); side stand and spring; foot rest bracket and foot pegs; seat cover; fork reflectors. I want to clear the whole lot because I would hope that some sympathetic soul would like to restore the bike to its former glory. PLEASE do not ask to buy individual bits and pieces. THIS IS A HEAVY LOAD OF STUFF AND WILL THEREFORE BE EXPENSIVE TO SHIP, EVEN AS 'PARTS'. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR GETTING THE LOT TO YOUR LOCATION. Obviously pick-up is the best option. I will happily construct a shipping crate for $75 and do whatever I can to expedite shipping from here. This is a NO RESERVE auction, so the lucky winner might get a real deal! Thank you for your interest. On 20-Mar-15 at 11:40:03 EDT, seller added the following information: I have done a little research into the cost of shipping. This is a case of 'cart before the horse' because the shipper will not give an exact quote until they know the EXACT size of the crate, its EXACT weight and its destination. Working on a crate size of approximately 45"x24"x12" with an approximate weight of 130lbs the cost of shipping to somewhere like Toronto, Ontario, will be approximately $250-$300. To ship to the US will be higher, of course, plus the cross border fun and games. It goes without saying that personal pick up is the best option! As noted in the original listing, it is the buyers responsibility to deal with the shipping. I will construct an appropriate sized crate $75) and do what I can at this end, as necessary. On 25-Mar-15 at 09:44:42 EDT, seller added the following information: As a sharp eyed eBayer has noticed, and I neglected to mention in the original description: the bike did NOT have the headlight or headlight shell, so they are missing from the lot.
