Up for sale is a Super Clean 1975 Honda XL125 with only 852 original miles! In addition to the pictures shown here, I have a YouTube video of the bike so you can here it run even go for a ride with me. I also demonstrate that all the lights work. This unmolested survivor is completely unrestored and in very good mechanical and cosmetic condition. It spent it's entire life in the dry desert air of Rancho Mirage, CA. I got the bike from the original owner who last used it in 1996. The chrome is all amazing! with no pits or rust, even the shock bodies are like new! If you want a rust free, all original, unmolested XL125, this is the one! This bike has all it's original parts, nothing has been replaced, re-painted or polished. All frame and side cover decals are original and in very good condition. The original tool kit is complete and still in it's original vinyl pouch. The pouch is nice but has a few poke holes. To bring this XL back to life, I cleaned the carb, installed a new battery, new Uni air filter, and a new Honda petcock. The bike runs very good but occasionally has and ignition miss at high RPM. I cleaned the points, which helped, but it should have new points soon....don't get me wrong, the bike starts easy and runs very good... but the points are 40 years old and are ready to be replaced. The pictures say it all... however, in the spirit of full disclosure I must tell you that this is not a new motorcycle. If you want an unrestored and unmolested XL in better condition than this one, you will probably have to go back in time. That said, this bike is 40 years old and does have some minor imperfections. I will list the ones that come to mind but there may be others that I didn't notice or I forgot. The fuel tank has some light scratches and a couple shallow depressions that don't show on the pictures or video. The tach has a crack on the left side of the lens. The high beam indicator lens is missing. The tires may not be original (I'm not sure they aren't but they don't have any dry cracks so I think they have been replaced). There is a small dent on the muffler near the heat shield. The fuel cap chrome has some pits. The paint on the front fender is showing it's age. The tool box has a crack and appears to be missing the end cap (I'm not a XL expert so I don't know if it's supposed to have an end cap?) I have a clear California title in hand which I will send to you as soon as the bike is paid for. I live in Indio, CA...so if you live close to me, you're welcome to come by. If you need to ship the bike I'll cooperate fully. I don't mind storing the bike while arrangements are being made. There is a small spot that may be rust when you look straight into the tank and there as some fuel deposits on the bottom...I couldn't get a picture of the bottom. I did take some pictures of the sides of the tank which is really nice...but Ebay won't let me add any more pics. After taking the bike for another ride around the block I realized the speedo is reading very slow. The odometer seems to work correctly but the speedo has a problem. Both grips are original but are also both split due to age and shrinkage. They're not bad and not noticeable when riding the bike. Sorry I forgot about it.
