Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1966 Dodge Charger .383. This car runs and drives great , and could be used as a daily driver. The following is a summary of improvements I have made to the car:The engine has not been rebuilt, but was pulled, and had all the gaskets and seals replaced. Select parts were repainted. The engine well was sand blasted and painted. The engine runs very strong. There are no issues with the transmission - it shifts perfectly.I added a brake booster and dual reservoir master cylinder, so the car stops very well.Carb, alternator, water pump, etc. have been replaced, as have all the hoses and belts. I have 2 extra carbs. and rebuild kit that come with the car.The car was completely rewired - new harness, wiring, etc. The interior lights are not working at the moment, but were recently - I am assuming something simple to resolve. The speedometer is a Chrysler, period specific speedometer, but not original to the car. It was working recently, but is not currently - probably something simple. I do have the original which comes with the car and could be rebuilt. The car has an aftermarket tac, temp. gauge, etc. which work great. The head lamps open and close perfectly, and all 4 lamps work. The carpet and headliner were replaced 5 or 6 years ago. I would call them an 8 out of 10.The wheels were sand blasted and repainted. The floor pans and trunk pans have been replaced. The following are issues that need to be addressed:This car needs to be sand blasted and repainted. It was sandblasted down to bare metal about 6-7 years ago. I ensured any and all rust was replaced with new metal, with as little filler as possible. However, the paint has faded, chipped and bubbled in many areas, and there are very obvious issues with the paint. I am confident that once sandblasted, little to no rust will be found, and will guarantee that to the buyer.Much of the cosmetic metal needs attention. The chrome needs attention. All pieces are there and are intact. The tires need to be replaced before the car can be driven any significant distance. Although I replaced all the carpet and the headliner, I have done very little to the rest of interior. The seats need re-upholstered, the dash pad needs to be replaced, the interior drivers side door panel is cracked, and needs to be replaced or repaired. The emblems are what I would consider driver quality, but could be refurbished. The A/C does not work. I have not attempted to fix, and do not know what it would take to resolve. The instrument cluster is not currently working, but was recently. The car was completely rewired, so I presume this is something simple to fix.If I were to keep the car, I would replace the exhaust from the manifold back. There are no issues with the exhaust, but it appears to be original and could use replacing at some point. In short, this car is structurally and mechanically sound. The issues are cosmetic. This car is ideal for someone who wants to put time into restoring the interior, painting the car, but driving an enjoying in the interim. Please feel free to contact me for more details - I am committed to a fair transaction for both myself and the buyer.
