Vehicle Detail
Offered is a beautifully preserved low mileage California 1988 Chrysler LeBaron Mark Cross Town and Country Station Wagon. This 25,384 mile car was reportedly delivered new to Warner Brothers Studios for use in a movie with Richard Pryor called "Moving" which was filmed in Santa Clarita, CA. I have seen that movie and an identical car appears. The vehicle was then sent to the Ventura, CA Chrysler dealer where a dealership employee sold it to his Mother. I bought the car from the ex dealership employee after his Mother died. The car had been unused for a period of time and he spent over $3000 was spent on a complete service including head replacement, struts, water pump and much more. I drove the car from Los Angeles to my home, over 450 miles, in total air conditioned comfort getting over 25 mpg. The car is turbo charged and quite peppy. The exterior of the car is excellent. A little fading in the outer light colored plastic wood (which could be touched up) but the grained paneling is like new. The cream paint is faded on the hood, especially over the turbo area but certainly usable as is. The interior is absolutely like new except for a sunburned spot on the top of each upper edge of the rear seat, see pictures. The only know defects are one rear window motor is not working and the turn signal switch will not stick in the detent for right turn and must be held in place. I have only driven the car on the one major trip and have not had time to fiddle with the small items. These cars are getting very hard to find and the 1988 Turbo model is the lowest production last year of the entire production run. If you want a fun run around car which is very practical here it is. I simply do not have room to keep it and it deserves to remain garaged. Please call with questions: Chris at (530) 400-0540. Might trade for a Packard! Clear California title in hand.
