We are pleased to offer for sale a very original 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2-Door Town Sedan. I am the second registered owner of this vehicle. I acquired the car through a friend who had purchased the car from the original owner who purchased it new in Merrick New York. He had the vehicle in storage since 1968 and then began getting it ready to run in 2012. I purchased it in June of 2013 when he experienced medical problems. I loved the originality of this car and still do. I had the car tuned up, and a complete brake job done, new radiator & heater hoses. I also had the gas tank restored. I had new 6 volt battery put in and a new exhaust system including mufler and my mechanic really got it running . I also put 4 new Coker 600-16 Blackwall tires & new Tubes. You can drive this car home after you purchase it......if you live close to San Clemente Ca. The engine is original and it does put out some blue smoke......but runs with decent acceleration. The parking brake does work. I do believe most all the gauges work including the speedometer. I have included a lot of photos for you to determine the condition of the body and interior.....this is NOT a show car but a solid survivor! The underside and frame of this car are not rusty....must have been undercoated. It does have the original wiring and does have fraying...so a new harness needs to be installed. It has a clear current California title in my name, it is registered and insured....because its drivable! . Because of it age there is no warranty expressed or implied, the car is purchased as-is where is with the buyer responsible for all transportation. These are not included in the price....but the winning bidder can purchase them after the auction end for $300.00 if desired.Here is a list of some of the things that need attention:New wiring harness, front driver side windshield glass is yellowing, needs s passengers side windshield wiper arm, replace the running board rubbers, passengers side door handle ferrule needs replacing, knee action shocks need to be filled with more oil or rebuilt, repair rust through in rear panel by both bumper bracket holes, paint match passengers side front fender repair.....dent was fixed and some small skim cost of bondo applied by previous owner, door rubber seals need replacing.There is a 4" diameter dent in the passengers rear fender, a 6" long crease in the top above the drivers door, 5" long crease in the passengers door.
