You are looking at an original survivor 33k mile 1979 Mazda RX-7. 1979 was the 1st year of the RX-7 and 3 generations were produced until 1995 for the US market. The Japanese collector car market is just starting to take off and RX-7’s are still undervalued. While Mazda produced many, it is very rare to find a low mile all original 1st year RX-7. Space Yellow was a rare color for the 1979 RX-7, and after doing some research, it turns out every mazda dealer back then got one Space Yellow RX-7 for their showroom. The 1979 RX-7 was the lightest out of the 1st gen, and this particular example was ordered without a sunroof and has a 5 speed instead of the 4 speed manual. Roll up windows, factory A/C, and alloys round out the options. This car was Rusty Jones protected and has preserved this car as most have rusted out during the past 35 years. Everything is original on this RX-7, besides the period correct Realistic FM booster, aftermarket cruise control, and aftermarket manual antenna. A/C has been updated to R134a and blows cold, all gauges and switches work, all lights work even the pop up headlights. At sometime, the car was repainted and looks to be a quality job. There are no nicks, scratches or dings. Everything else including trim are original and reflect the mileage. The interior also reflects the mileage, and there are no tears, rips, or cracks. I added coco floor mats and replaced the door seals as the tops were getting a little cracked on the drivers door. I have put a few hundred miles on it going to car shows since I bought it last fall. Growing up in the 70’s I had always wanted an rx-7. They are great driving enthusiast cars and have racing history. The 2 rotor engine is silky smooth, very quiet. I wish I had the room to keep it long term, but would rather see another enthusiast enjoy it. Comes with 2 keys and owners manual. Clear title in hand for a fast transaction. Sorry NO TRADES. This is a 7 day NO RESERVE AUCTION, so last bidder wins. I have many more pics of this rx-7 so you can see how well preserved this rare Mazda is: http://s1059.photobucket.com/user/jvmax69/library/rx7
