Vehicle Detail
Time to sell another bike out of my collection. Let me start off by telling you what I believe not to be original on this bike.1. New cable ties on the handle bars.2. Fuel lines3. 1 inner tube4. The previous owner at one time tried to paint the foot pegs and touched up a some scratches around the fork ears and upper forks. this should show up in the pictures but is a very small area. I believe this was caused from not tying the bike down properly. So with the above mentioned out of the way, here we go! I will do my very best to describe this bike but am subject to error. I took as many close up high definition pictures that ebay will allow me to post as to not misrepresent this wonderful bike. So let the pictures speak for themselves. This bike is an extremely rare find being that it's the rarest model CT70 made. This Silver Tag model with it's many rare features only has 209 miles. The vin# is CT70110023 and the engine # is CT70E109740. So the bike starts up drives straight and shifts through all the gears as intended. All the lights and horn work. The headlight bucket is not broken but does have some rub marks and scratches on the same side as the touch up but this again is fairly minor and was most likely caused by tying the bike down improperly. The cables are all in excellent shape and intact. The Nitto tires still appear to be great shape but do have some very minor cracking between the tread but not on the sidewalls. The rims look good but have some of the normal patina but again very little. The chain still has its original inspection mark on the master link as do the rims. All the chrome is in great condition and shines nicely, but it does have that very very light dusty look to it when you get up real close. The seat is in excellent condition and is still soft with no cracking along with the seat pan. The rare shotgun style pipe that only came on the silver tags is in excellent condition even around the packing that holds the muffler guard to the header. The paint and decals are in excellent condition with the exception of what I noted above. The bike does not have a battery in it because I do not ride it or intend to ride it. I will put a new battery in it when sold. Included with the bike is the California Certificate of Title ( pink slip) and it is street legal ! So no DMV hassles. The original tool kit and 1 key. So this is it your chance to own a very rare bike in the CT world. As we all know bikes can be restored over and over again, many times making them nicer then new and at prices from $4000 - $6000. These restored bikes no matter what NOS part you put on them are still not original. A true collector bike on the other hand is all original and can only be that way once. Though this bike has had the above mentioned items changed it still is very close to original. Please understand that this bike is not cheap and is well worth the investment for the serious collector or anyone who just loves the rarity of the Silver Tag bike. Some of the Silver Tag only items on this bike are as follows.1. Silver Tag2. Front fender lip3. High beam indicator light Lens made of fabric instead of plastic4. Black plastic brake levers5. Tool kit holder is bolted on under seat6. Tail light wire goes through additional hole in frame.7. Rear brake stabilizer is flat not bent8. Chain guard is held on with Philips screws.9.
