Up for sale here is my Excursion. I bought it brand new in July of 05 and have taken meticulous care of it. A few tastefull improvements along with proper maintenance make this a great truck. But what puts it over the top is that I still have it covered under Ford's ESP warranty. I've renewed it twice since the original warranty expired and it's valid until May 2015 or 110,999 miles. So there's a little over 1 year or 15,000 miles left. My most recent trip was to CT in the rain with moderate traffic and I still got 22mpg. Around town it's usually around 19mpg which is excellent for a truck this big. Prevenative maintenance has always been done on time religously. The most recent service was just done at the Ford dealer and included an oil/filter change, tire rotation, and they replaced the alternator under warranty. The only other work done to the truck was a turbo replacement and EGR work a couple years ago, which was all covered by warranty. I'm pretty sure you won't find many other Excursions that will compare to this one. I will miss it but my family is changing and we simply don't need this vehicle any more. More often than not I find that the guy who starts shooting me trivial questions like "How old are the windshield wipers?" or "Can you take a close up picture of the 3rd row seat belt?" is not a serious buyer.
