Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a Boshart Engineering TERSUS Electric Truck / Vehicle. There were approx. 10 made, of which two (approx) were for Phoenix Motorcars. Phoenix went on to develop a lithium battery pack for the vehicle (which Boshart helped with), but never saw the light of day except for a demo. Boshart scrapped the plans of producing the truck when a grant program went belly-up. I personally purchased a few vehicles and sold them here on eBay, and this is my last one. This one is my personal vehicle. It's registered (CA Plates and VIN), it has the optional 35-mph gearbox / transmission, has a new Delta-Q charger with improved algorithms, and everything works as it should - you can come for a test drive, no issues. This vehicle STILL has the Boshart Sales Sticker on the rear Right window - have never taken it off! $31K list price. And if you go on the Internet, a used one sold at Barrett Jackson (spelling?) auction for $17,800 - plus a buyers' premium! You can look it up... These are collector's items, as the engineering that Boshart did for the industry has seen it's way into production vehicles that you're driving now! These vehicles are the first four-door, crew-cab, electric vehicles ever made! Ideally, this is a great grocery-getter, around-the-country-club driver, short trip to the market vehicle... it's NOT for a long days' journey, as with a fully charged Discovery battery pack, it will go about 35 miles or so... the current battery pack (new) is good for 15 miles, as we did not replace the Discovery batteries (we don't need the range in our gated community). We just replaced all 12 batteries (brand new) but again, did not go with the 'high horsepower' Discovery batteries. Personally, I would go lithium - I can even discount the truck and sell the new batteries if you want to save $2K and then do the lithium thing, which will most-likely cost you less than $5,000. THEN... you have something... it's really what I would do if I were not into another project. :) (THEN, you'll have a $100K Phoenix for less than $20,000!!!!) DO IT!! :) :) Oh, I just replaced the 12v battery, too, so that all 13 batteries are new. This vehicle is ready for a new owner, works properly, is a great vehicle to drive everyone over to the clubhouse with, and is a part of history. Good luck in your bid, and as in the past, I am open to questions on the vehicle.
