I purchased this car a few months ago with the idea of making a pro street, once I found out that it is a fairly rare 1958 Businessman's delivery option special ordered car, I am having second thoughts. Now let me explain, I was told by some credible experts that this was a special order Del Ray. It has fixed rear quarter glass and Never had a rear seat. The experts (both of them said that they couldn't tell me how rare by numbers but that it was a rare option). this is why I decided to sell it rather than cut it up ( I thought that it might be worth more to someone else). This is what I know of the car. I purchased it from the widow of a retired body guy that was in the middle of making his own (custom 1958 Chevy ) he passed away in the middle of this project. She then had it stored for about a year until I stumbled upon it. All body work and paint has been done and is ready for reassembly. The man that did the work, Shaved the door handles and trunk lock, he French in a antenna hole on drivers rear quarter panel, customized the rear tail lights Cadillac. I was given the 3 sets of stainless trim, they are all marked with a black tip marker as to their position. (one set is for a 4 door). There is a bench seat in the car (I do not believe it is not the original) The side glass and rear window is there but NO windshield All interior panels and headliner is missing. Gas tank is missing. All drivetrain looks to be original, 6 cyl 3 speed on column. I can not tell you more about it because I don't know more. This vehicle is being sold AS IS Where IS no warranty implied or given.
