Vehicle Detail
Up for auction with a very reasonable reserve is a very nice 1984 Chevrolet El Camino with Factory 305 V8 and Turbo 350 automatic transmission with 166K. Car has power windows, power door locks with remote key fob, and power driver seat. This El Camino has been well maintained with a lot of custom touches. All new interior, consisting of a very nice combination of black vinyl and suede. Seats were completely redone, door panels are all new, custom covered rear panel, new black carpet and full black suede headliner and visors. Very nice sounding stereo system with a Clarion nz500 flip out 7" touch-screen radio with iPod integration. The rear speakers are Alpine 6x9’s with some JL 4x6’s in the dash. Behind the hidden compartment is an Alpine type R subwoofer powered by an Alpine PDX amp that sounds very nice. As for the suspension, just about everything has been upgraded or replaced. It has Hotchkis lowering springs and Edelbrock shocks on all 4 corners. Both front and rear sway bars were upgraded with Addco’s. New upper and lower front control arms, new idler arm, new pitman arm, new center link, new inner and outer tie rods with Edelbrock billet adjusters as well as all new ball joints. When the suspension was rebuilt the car also had new front disc brakes with new drilled and slotted rotors and a throaty sounding 2-1/2" Flowmaster true dual exhaust. Wheels are staggered chrome IROC’s - 16x7 up front and 16x8 on the rear. Rear tires still have plenty of tread but the front are in need of replacing. The body is in overall good shape the previous owner painted it and did a color matched linex bedliner the paint is not show quality and has some hazy areas but overall looks good and the car gets compliments everywhere it is driven. Body had typical dents and dings of a 20 year old car and the bed shows wear from being used to haul parts around town and could use some touch up. All faded lenses were replaced with new, at the same time a new billet grill and new chrome headlight bezels were also installed. The new lenses and chrome really make this El Camino stand out from most others and people always compliment it. Carb was rebuilt three months ago, also recently installed a new headlight dimmer switch, new ignition switch, new fan switch, new blower motor and all fluids have been recently changed. Just had new plugs, new air filter and an oil change. This car has been well maintained and is ready for a new owner. Car is being sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I recommend that any potential bidder come see this car in person so there are no surprises. If you have any questions or would like to come check it out feel free to call me. 336.339.6867 On Feb-24-14 at 11:56:08 PST, seller added the following information: Wanted to make a note for those that are used to brand new fuel injected vehicles that this car is cold natured and takes about 20-30 seconds or giving it gas to warm up and idle once you first start it up after sitting for a while. Also, it's hard to tell in the interior pics but the top of the dash pad has some cracks in it, which is very typical for these model years. Lastly, the original steering wheel has been replaced with an SS steering wheel out of a 1986 Monte SS that is very nice. On Feb-27-14 at 14:35:37 PST, seller added the following information: In the description I noted the mileage as 166,000 but its actually 162,600. Not that it really makes a difference but just wanted to point it out.
