Vehicle Detail

No Reserve! Highest bid will win regardless of amount! I just cut the NO RESERVE price of this car by $1,000.00! Up for consideration is a exceptionally nice 2001 Camaro convertible. The car has 21,990 actual miles. Never in any sort of accident, never painted, only adult driven, never abused. Unquestionably, this is one of the nicest of the fourth generation Camaros out there. I have owned this car since December 2001. It has been babied, lovingly driven and absolutely enjoyed for the past dozen years. The car has never been driven on a wet street or highway since I bought the car. It has never been on a dirt road. It has spent fewer than a handful of nights outside a garage. Every feature on the car works and operates exactly as it should. Every light bulb works, the radio and gauges work perfectly and the convertible top lowers and raises just as it was intended. The car has been 100 percent dependable. It has never let me down. It drives as tight now as it did when it was new. The engine uses no oil and has no unusual sounds of any nature. The transmission shifts perfectly. There are no transmission or engine oil drips. The car got an oil and filter change (Mobil One synthetic), new wiper blades and other service a short time ago, so it is ready to go. The brakes are perfect. No coolant loss. The air conditioner is cold. The power windows, power door locks and power mirrors work as new. The cruise control operates just as it is supposed to. There are no rattles or unusual sounds. The paint is practically perfect. The gloss is superb. The car has zero rust and has never seen snow or salty roads. It has been hand waxed dozens of times. There are no door dings. There are a very few, very small paint chips on the lower front end that are the result of normal highway driving. Most of these tiny chips are no larger than the (.) at the end of this sentence. No scratches, no peeling paint, no paint swirls. The headlights are crystal clear. They have never been restored or buffed. That's how good this car is. Same for the tail lights. No windshield chips, cracks or stars. The interior is superb. There are no worn places or tears in any of the seats or other upholstery. The carpet is clean and in virtually like-new condition. I've always used floor mats atop the original GM floor mats. The interior does not need nor has it been exposed to anything other than normal vacuuming. The dash and console are not faded and there are no cracks or other blemishes. There is no soiling at the top of the door panels (from sweaty arms). The convertible top is the original top. Black. The car is generally parked with the top in the raised position. The top fabric fits tightly and is not stretched or faded. There are no unusual wind noises. The back window is glass and it has a deicer element made into it. The car has all the original covers that hide the folding top when it is in the down position. The original door speakers developed sound rattles long ago so they have been upgraded to superior Infinity speakers designed to be direct replacments for the lower quality original speakers. The car has the factory installed high-power Monsoon Sound package with CD player. The car is outfitted with four 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels and BF Goodrich g-Force TA 275/40ZR17 performance radial tires that have about 5K miles. These tires have a 400 Treadwear rating and A ratings for Traction and Temperature. No plugs or other tire repairs. The wheels and tires cost more than $2,000. The spare is the never-on-the-ground factory tire. The car comes with all four factory floor mats, the original owners manual and other papers, both original lock/unlock clickers, all four original keys, the never-used spare tire, the convertible top covers, and all jack parts and tools. I seldom check the gas mileage for around town driving, however, it usually is about 23 mpg. On the highway I consistantly get between 29 and 32 mpg. There are no surprises associated with this car. There are no details that have been "swept under the carpet." Only genuine GM replacement parts such as air filters, oil filters and such have been used. The oil has been changed quite a few times. It has been changed based on months, not miles. (There are intervals in which the oil was changed when the car had fewer than 100 miles of actual driving use.) I'm the only driver, and there have never been young operators. I'll be sure the car has a full tank of gas and a wash, vacuuming and a hand wax before it leaves me. When new, this Camaro had a sticker price of approximately $28K. (Using an online inflation calculator, that would be $36,997 in 2013 dollars.)Compare my asking price to these: The price for a 2014 Camaro convertible (base car with NO options) is more than $31,000; one all decked out has a sticker of more than $55,000. A cheap-driver 2009 Nissan Altima runs about $15,200; a 2009 Hyundai Sonata goes on average for $13,700 and, get this, AutoTrader.com says a used 2010 Camaro averages $26,375. I just cut the price on my car! I want it to go! The buy-it-now price on my Camaro is just $11,999. Now get this: For about $1,700 LESS money than a four-year-old Hyundai Sonata with 70,000 miles you can drive a gorgeous top-down, 22K mile Camaro. There is NO RESERVE so the opening bid will buy the car. If you decide you don't want to risk getting sniped at the very end of the auction, you might want to consider going for the buy-it-now price of just $1,000 more, or in other words, BIN for $12,999.The title is clear and has zero questionable areas. It is on hand and ready to be signed over for immediate sale. A $500 deposit is requested via PayPay within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The balance of the money is required before the title and car will be released. (I'd prefer that money NOT be paid through PayPal (high fees) if possible.) I'd like to have full payment to be to me within seven days of the auction end. All checks must clear my bank before the car will be released. There is no warranty expressed or implied regarding this car. It is sold as is/where is. Pickup or delivery is the responsibility of the purchaser. So why am I selling a car I prize so? Well, I'm nearer to 60 than I am to 50. My daughter is out of college and I've been thinking for a couple of years I'd like to have a Mercedes SL600; that's a 12-cylinder, 2-seat convertible. I don't have the space for both cars, so that's the reason, pure and simple. NOTE: The car is driven occasionally, therefore, the mileage may be slightly more than what is written here. Questions? Send me a message and I will provide an honest answer ASAP. Thanks for looking and may God bless!
