1971 Honda CT70 with only 384 miles! This is your chance to own a very nice original 3 speed automatic CT70 with extremely low miles in the beautiful candy sapphire blue color. This bike has a build date of 7-1971 and spent many of its years in a private collection until I recently acquired it. The vin# is CT70279459 and engine # is CT70E279100. I have 2 original keys, original owners manual and original tool kit included with the sale of the bike. Upon getting the bike I had it inspected by the CHP and a new title was issued in my name, so no hassles with the DMV. I also got a license plate and current street registration for the state of California good until May 2014. Now about the bike. To the best of my knowledge this is an all original unmolested bike with the exception of the grab handle which I added. She starts right up, does not smoke and idles fine. The bike shifts smoothly through all the gears and does not appear to have any issues. The horn and all lights work with the exception of the low beam on the headlight. I do believe that the low beam filament on the bulb is the problem. I did not want to pull the cover off for fear of cracking or chipping the headlight bucket. With that said, the headlight bucket is in excellent condition with none of the typical cracks which most of these bikes end up with. The paint is in excellent condition with very minimal scratches or chips. The chrome is still very nice but does show some of the normal patina you would expect after all these years. The seat cover is still very pliable with no rips and seat pan is in great condition looking almost new underneath. The tires still look very nice but do have cracking on the sidewalls due to age. The bike is so clean on the underside it does not appear to ever have been ridden off road. Please understand I took many pictures of this bike as to not misrepresent it. Many of the pictures look like paint is rubbed off like on the top of the headlight bucket and above the decals. This is just the sun shinning back. I have had over a dozen of these bikes in the recent years selling many of them to private collectors and this by far is one of the nicest I have had the privilege of owning. This bike does carry a hefty price tag but is well worth the money if your looking to keep it in a collection. I do believe this will make a collector very happy as bikes in this condition don't come along everyday. As we all know these bikes can be restored over and over again making them sometimes nicer than new. This bike truly is a show quality original and can only be that way 1 time.
