This is a one ownerl 1970 T500 in very good original cosmetic condition. The bike has been stored indoors it's whole life but the owner never ran it so it currently does not run. The bike has not been started in 30 years. The throttle is stuck and the inside of the tank is rusty but it still has 30 year old gas in it so it does not leak. My opinion is that it would need the gas tank creamed and carburetors rebuilt at the minimum to get running again. The motor or clutch are not locked up and it sems to shift through all the gears. The owner put it away in the winter of 1973 and never started it again, but it ran fine when parked. The only thing he can remember replacing is the back tire. The grips, seat cover, fork boots, head light and lenses are all original Suzuki. I dont know how but the tires, grips, and fork boots do not even have any dry-rot cracks. The chrome looks presentable but some of the thinner pieces has some pitting on them. The original seat cover does not have a crack or tear, and the mirrors look new. The biggest flaws I can see with the appearance is the tail light has a hole in it from something hitting it, the gas tank has a dent on the front right side from the owner droping it in gravel and the fork leg came back and hit it, and the seat foam is imprinted because the owner used a bungie cord to strap the mirrors to the seat so the wouldnt break or get lost. Included is the original complete tool kit, both original keys, original owners manual with factory sleeve, and original never re-asigned title. This would make a great restoration project for someone, everything about this bike is how it came from the factory. The bike is located in Middletown MD 21769.
