THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! Just in time for the summer, this auction is for a REALLY clean 1975 Honda XL250 Enduro, VIN XL2503012626. This is not a perfect museum piece, but HAS been carefully maintained and stored with lots of TLC. These are hard to find in such unmolested condition. This bike has recently had valves, cam chain and timing set by a factory trained Honda mechanic with over 40 years of experience. The following have been replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts: fuel petcock and fuel line, seat cover, handlebar grips, battery and strap, spark plug, drive chain and of course, fresh oil. Mechanically, brakes work very well, clutch is excellent, gearbox shifts great all through five gears, all lights work – even the turn signals! Charging system was also tested and works fine. Tires are decent and still have plenty of tread left. This beauty even has the tool kit! The carburetor may need a little fine tuning as it starts on one or two kicks when warm but needs a few more prods sometimes when cold. Idles fine when warm. Cosmetically, there is some minor wear and tear, as to be expected – call it PATINA. The gas tank and instruments are in amazing condition for their age (see photos). All instruments work fine. The white spots in the photos are reflections. Mileage is 8,336. Fenders have some minor scratches. The gas tank is all original, very solid, clean and rust free inside. Engine is oil tight and drip free. This bike is all complete, here is a chance for you to OWN HISTORY! We have the California title paperwork (and license plate), which was signed off in 1984. The bike was never re-registered (ridden occasionally on private property since then, there should be no back fees and this is most likely out of the CA DMV system, since it's been well over 5 years since it was registered).
