Fast440 is pleased to offer this 1957 Ford Fairlaine 500 Two-Door Hardtop in well preserved and mostly original condition. This Three-Owner Example has always been in Dry Climate Texas, and It's most recent owner has owned the car since 1976. Equipped with Factory Overdrive, and a 3-Speed Manual column shift. The strongest attribute of this Fairlaine is solid Sheet Metal throughout. Solid Floor Pans, Trunk Pan, Rocker Panels, and Quarter Panels. The vehicle Exterior shows as all original Trim, and an older Paint Job. A Light-Duty Refrigerator Magnet sticks to all lower areas of the body except the lower/forward corner of the Driver Door. Exceptionally solid for a 56 year-old car indeed. Recently refreshed mechanically, and this includes Carburetor and Brake Work. Tires were recently replaced as well.The motor starts reliably and runs well although one of the Freeze Plugs is leaking, so it would be a good idea for the new owner to replace all of them. The car stops well, Front Suspension is tight, shifts well, and the Overdrive engages and disengages as it should.
