The gentleman who traded it is a commercial airline pilot that did a frame on restoration. The Corvette is stunningly beautiful and would make an excellent addition to a collection or a great weekend driver. We verified it is a number's matching 350 HP V8 engine with a manual (M20) 4 speed transmission. It has (N40) power steering, (A01) soft ray glass, (A31) Power Windows, (G81) Positraction rear axle, (N37) Tilt Telescoping Steering Column, (TJ2) Front Fender Louver trim, and the rare (U15) Speed Warning Indicator (9.19% of 1969's built). The windshield wipers and headlamps work as designed. All of the interior features are in working condition. This 1969 Corvette does not have factory Air Conditioning. The frame has no rust damage. The chrome is in excellent condition and the weather stripping has been replaced. This is one very nice and rare 1969 Corvette. The following is the history and description from the previous owner; "We purchased the car via eBay on October 9, 2009. The car was located in Eugene, Oregon. I stopped in Eugene on my way back from Japan to inspect the car and arrange to ship it to Tennessee. The previous owner had painted the car two years prior but had only driven the car 4 times since the repaint. It started right up and ran rough but okay for a car that had not been driven. He was sad to sell the car but had cancer and didn't have insurance. He helped me get the car on a hauler and a week later it arrived to me in Tennessee. I drove the car a little once I got it home to get a feel for it. The brakes squeaked badly and didn't work well. i could tell it was a good car that just needed some TLC. I looked for advice from Doug Ward at Reeder Chevrolet on where to start and got to work. I pulled the carburetor and Doug rebuilt it. We then put the carburetor back on and completely rebuilt the full brake system. Everything was replaced except the rotors which were good. The brake lines were flushed multiple times to clean out the old fluid. I also bought new tires, rims, and the rally wheels to make the car look original. In January I started the restoration process. I started on the interior first. The entire interior was stripped out and all the colored parts were dyed to refresh the bright blue interior. Many new parts were installed and carpet and insulation was added to the entire interior. There is just too much to say regarding the interior but if it needed to be replaced it was done. It is now Spring and time to get the car out. I found out I had a great car and put it in several Corvette shows to let the pros pick it apart. I made note of their comments and made plans for the next winter's work. One thing that had to be done was the chrome replaced on the T-Tops. The previous owner did not pull the chrome when he repainted and it showed. The tops turned out great and it made a major difference. I also did not dye the interior of the tops to leave an original part to the interior. The winter of 2011 was spent under the car and under the hood. I also replaced all the light lenses and badging. What a difference it made. The steering gear and power steering were replaced. The rear bumpers were removed and re-chromed. I pulled the gas tank to see if the build sheet was still there. All that was left was a corner of what may have been the sheet. I decided to replace the gas tank while it was out. Then it was to the engine to finish cleaning and and painting back to the original colors and condition. I also continued with the insulation project and did the underside of the car. A horse collar on the bell housing and more insulation under the carpet has made the interior nice and cool. Once again if it needed to be replaced it was done. I do not hesitate to drive it anywhere and would jump in it and go cross country tomorrow. The engine and transmission are strong and it gets good mileage if you keep your foot out of it. I got 14-18 MPG at 65-75. I believe that the car is original and that I'm the 4th or 5th owner. Doug Ward can check the numbers when it comes in on trade. As the previous owner was, I am reluctant to let the car go. It's a gem and fun to drive. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I have. The new buyer is welcome to contact me with any questions."
