1978 CADILLAC ELDORADO CUSTOM BIARRITZ With Power Sliding SUNROOF/ ASTROROOF and Shade Very Important information regarding the “Collectible Value of 1978 Eldorado Custom Biarritz“ *Look at the pictures provided* and email questions... thank youHere is the information regarding the ASTROROOF/MOONROOF by Cadillac Cadillac Division turned to American Sunroof Corporation (ASC) in Southgate, Michigan. ASC would be able to modify standard Custom Biarritz cars quickly, turn them into Custom Biarritz Classics, install a Sunroof or ASTROROOF if ordered, and return them to the Cadillac assembly facility for shipment to dealers. ASC (American Sunroof Corporation) installed sunroofs in 500 cars. A sticker was attached to the driver's door lock face, above the latch, which indicated the car had been modified by ASC, met all Federal Standards, and the date the work was completed. The ink used on these stickers was not stable, and many have either faded or are so washed out they are difficult to read today.(pictures are provided showing these stickers and confirming this fact on this BIARRITZ) 1 OF 500 made..very collectible and rare with" Pillow Top Leather seats" Dual Comfort 50/50 Divided Power Front Seats AM/FM/ 8 TRACK Stereo Power sliding "ASTROROOF/SUNROOF" works great !(Most Eldorado's that you find with the power "ASTROROOF"do not work and need to be repaired...The car Runs Good and starts right up Displacement: 425 CID V-8, 7.0 Litres Transmission shifts nicely Paint is Colonial Yellow (54) AC Blowing but not ice cold probably needs a re-charge Fully loaded with power windows, locks, seats (driver & passenger) and power trunk Original Spare tire cover Jack & Tools This BIARRITZ is a rust free California car sold right here in Los Angeles As mentioned the AC blows but not ice cold Door panels have typical cracking as they dry out over the years and become brittle but easy to replace. The dash is great with no cracking at all Interior Seats, headliner, carpet are good.. no rips nothing torn The Cabriolet Padded top has 2 quarter size repairs done to itEngine compartment is cleanChrome is very niceCar is not a trailer queen and can be used as a daily driver or taken to the next level and restored Remember they made only 500 with the power sliding ASTROROOF and by now not many remain… this is something to consider if you want to buy a 1978 Eldorado BIARRITZ to keep.
