This is a 1969 GTO , Ram Air III, 4 speed close ratio M21, 3.90 Saf-T-Track.Originally Matador Red, now fresh re-paint in Starlight Black.Original Black bucket seats and console. Car has 84,000 original miles. Carpet and dash cover were replaced but other than that, car has its original interior in good condition. Drivetrain is rebuilt. WS block and 48 heads, correct exhaust manifolds , intake and ram air pans. Correct 1111970 distributor dated 9c26, rebuilt, 7029273 carburetor restamp rebuilt and bought off ebay.all engine casting dates are closely matched and near the end of 1968. Vin stamping is '29G13' and then fades away to illegible. I doubt its the original engine because I bought it before I bought the car and they were from two different people in different towns. Engine was proffesionally rebuilt with new pistons, rings, bearings etc. It is completely stock, right down to the correct 068 camshaft.About 1 hour running time and zero miles. New Clutch, refaced flywheel . Original , numbers-matching Muncie 4 speed M21 close-ratio trans. Rebuilt with new bearings and synchros. correct Hurst shifter, rebuilt. Correct original backdrive linkage. 3.90 Pontiac 10-bolt Saf-T-Track posi rear end. New bearings and seals. Firestone G70-14 Redline Reproduction tires on 14x6 JA Rally wheels. Hideaway headlights were all rebuilt and function properly. Body is nice but not perfect.There is filler in the rear quarter panels around the wheel openings but they are original quarters. Doors are original and excellent. Fenders, hood and trunk lid are excellent. Underbody is rustfree. There are a couple things I don't like. One is the rear window leaks some water into the trunk when car is washed. Front end suspension bushings need replaced because the rubber is rotten. Ram air cable at flapper door needs hooked up, I just run it with flapper door open all the time.Hood hinges are weak.Horns don't work.Radio doesnt work, speaker may be blown. Overall,a good, solid, local cruise-night car. A real Ram Air car with real Ram Air powertrain.
