You are bidding on a VERY GENTLY USED METALLIC GREEN 1997 CHEVROLET CAVALIER COUPE LS CONVERTIBLE WITH INCREDIBLY LOW MILES--40,046--- THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED AND IS BEING SOLD BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER. This four speed automatic convertible beauty with a sassy rear spoiler, was used as a weekend car only. It has been meticulously maintained and the owner can provide almost all maintenance records, as well as the original owners manual. In May 2012 the car had a $450 service interval that included: new front brakes and rotors, an oil change, new oil filter and passed New York State inspection. Cosmetically, this SMOKE FREE car is in very sweet condition. The convertible top is in beautiful shape, no rips or tears, glass is excellent and the top up/down funtions perfectly. This very handsome metallic green vehicle with a graphite/teal interior does have some white paint scrapes where the elderly owner rubbed against the two car garage divider. These scrapes can be seen in the photo on the passenger side of the front bumper as well as the driver side near the rear wheel well and body side molding. All of the mentioned paint scrapes are purely cosmetic and don't affect the performance of the car-- they can probably be compounded out. There is a shallow softball sized indentation to the left of the rear wheel well on the driver side, this is hard to see (more easily felt) unless you catch it in a certain light. The tires have a reasonable amount of tread left and appear to be serviceable. The interior is in excellent condition. All the upholstery is in beautiful shape with almost no wear. Features include: power rack and pinion steering, four wheel ABS, A Delco electronics AM/FM stereo radio and cassette deck, two cup holders, covered visor mirrors, manual four way seat adjusters and adjustable head restraints, manual locks and windows. Donut spare which was never used and jack are in the trunk. This car has been lovingly cared for and although it is 15.5 years old it is really still quite young with only 40K miles. Mechanically it rides well and is responsive. In 1997 the vehicle was involved in an accident in which the passenger airbag was deployed. The car had no structural damage and body work was done immediately. I have a CarFax report which attests to the single owner and reflects all inspections and annual registration as well as the one accident in 1997. The carfax can be emailed upon request. Recently an indicator light appeared on the dash indicating a new water pump is required. The owner has decided that at his age he doesn't need two cars and is parting with his weekend companion. With a new water pump this car would be a fantastic car for a college student, commuter car or for a beach house. It has lots of personality and is 40,000 miles young.
