1965 Ford Econoline pickup truck restoration needs to be completed!!!! Factory Custom Deluxe with side chrome Padded dash. Factory 4 Speed on the tree Period correct Thrush side pipes Sun Visor In line 6 cl Before the restoration began this truck was kept in a garage for years, it had very little rust but what was there was cut out and new metal was welded in. The largest patch was the about the size of a dollar bill!! The paint was also stripped before the repaint. As it sets now the paint looks good but is not what I would consider show quality. The truck was painted about 6 weeks ago in the original orange color. Most of the hard and expensive work has been completed but a few things will need to be fixed before this truck is ready for the highway! 1. The brakes were Re-done less than 25 miles ago but the truck has now set for several years and they are very soft. I think they just need bleeding. 2. The fuel tank needs to be cleaned out. 3. The lights need some work and some of the chrome is not completely bolted on. 4. The tires are old 5. One side pipe needs to be installed and the other needs to be bolted back up. 6. I paid around $400 for a tailgate on ebay and it literally had more rust that the rest of the truck combined so I decided to find a better one. The body shop waited a few weeks and then they had to go ahead and paint the truck, they did save enough paint to paint the tailgate and it will go with the sale, also the tailgate I purchased will go with the truck in-case you want to fix it. 7. I was going to have the bed lined but several people advised me not to because this step is irreversible and the bed is very straight considering the year. 8. Some weather stripping needs to be replaced. A few other things such as a tune up and misc small items will need attention. I would estimate that working a few weekends would get this pickup back on the road!!!!!!!! The engine will start and run but the brakes are to weak for it do be driven. A $500 deposit is due in 24 Hours after the auction ends via Paypal. The balance is due in 3 business days, it will need to be cash in person or bank to bank wire. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but we will work with your shipping company and help on this end.
