EXTREMELY CLEAN AND SHARP CAR! Up for sale is a truly one of a kind 2008 Dodge Charger R/T with Road and Track package, and packed with a 426 Cubic Inch, 7.0 Liter, V8 HEMI Engine. The car has been heavily modified to be extremely fast while being tame enough to drive the streets and stop everyone in their tracks to look. Over $30,000 invested in performance upgrades and interior/exterior upgrades alone. At least another $3000 invested in maintenance and supreme car care for the last 2 years!! The engine was checked and custom tuned by arguably the best late-model HEMI tuner in the country, AJ from Westbury Dodge. Also bought at the time of purchase was the extra LoJack option available with the Early Warning Recovery System. I have made this car to be extremely clean, sharp, and mean looking. Paint fully treated with Zaino Paint Care System; the best stuff on the market for show cars. Nothing over the top and nothing shiny and cheap anywhere. All receipts are available! First and foremost, I will be 100% honest with everything the car has and I will answer all questions. I am the first and only owner of the car and bought it new, off the lot, in August 2008. Car has about 33,500 miles on it. I use it on the weekends, so this number might vary slightly. All work was done on the car at the 20,000 mile mark. It has never been to the track or abused, and will run in the 11 second area. There is literally a huge folder with all receipts and documentation of all the numerous modifications done to the car. Ive kept it in excellent condition, inside and out, and enjoy every minute in this car. The car has been converted to the SRT8 dress and outperforms any stock or mildly modified SRT8. The only thing that’s different between this car and an SRT8 now is the VIN number, speedometer, and maybe a few other small things. Otherwise I would say this car way outperforms any SRT Charger or other SRT. The car puts 495 horsepower to the rear wheels (495 RWHP), on very safe tuning and 93 octane street gas. I have the original dyno sheet. (Stock SRT8s get plus/minus 120 horsepower less to the wheels.) This low horsepower for the 426 cubic inch engine is due to a 9:1 Compression rate within the engine. For those of you who know these cars, you know what that means. This means the engine was built to handle boost, and is just waiting to be supercharged without any internal work needing to be done. My plans were for a Procharger D1 setup, but at this point I simply cannot do it. With the blower and proper work and tuning, it should easily make around 750 RWHP. If you don’t want to supercharge it but still want even more power, changing the compression back to 10.5:1 or higher will get you easily 40-50+ more horsepower to the wheels. And if you just want to leave it the way it is, that’s fine too! It will run perfectly fine, and you will have a 500 RWHP car! Engine was made and bought from Performance Werks Racing. The company owner is well known and active in all LX forums. The engine cost me about $18,000 all together. The engine is internally reinforced with all forged components; Wiseco 9:1 compression pistons, K1 crankshaft, Ferrea Racing valves, SRT lifters, Performance Forged pushrods, etc. PWR Street/Strip Ported heads and a black powdercoated intake sit on top. Oil gets pumped via a custom Melling Racing Oil Pump and a Billet Tech Oil Catch Can prevents oil from being burned up in the engine. A very aggressive sounding custom PWR camshaft lays inside. An ATI Harmonic Overdrive Balancer sits in front, made for forced induction setups looking to spin the blower faster for increased boost. (Remember, this engine is brand new and excellent the way it is, with 500 rear wheel horsepower on tap. If you want the extra power, it is already built to handle a modest supercharger and you WONT have to spend the thousands of dollars to change compression and things like that!! Simply put, just plug and play a supercharger for an additional 150-300+ RWHP!!) Stock hood swapped out for a lighter and beautiful looking Carbon Fiber hood by VIS. The exhaust system consists of KOOKS long tube headers with high flow cats and a deafening SLP Loudmouth 1 catback system!! This combination of the aggressive cam and loud resonators of the exhaust create a very aggressive, loud, and unique sound that everyone asks about. Although I have NEVER taken this car to shows or the track, just driving around the city gets questions and comments EVERY day. It sounds like a Pro Stock dragster. Extremely intimidating and aggressive!! Taking this power to the ground is the stock transmission tuned to handle more power. This goes down to an upgraded Getrag Limited Slip Rear Differential with 3.06 gears and upgraded axles. (This brand new unit coming from the 6-Speed 2009 Challenger). Taking the brunt of this powerful engine are the massive 315/35R20 Dunlop Sport Maxx GT run flat tires out back mounted on 10 inch wide Viper reproduction matte-black wheels. The fromt tires are 275/35R20 Dunlop Sport Maxx GT run flats. This set of tires cost me $1600 alone! The stock brake system was removed and replaced with the very expensive ($6000) Brembo Gran Turismo brake system. This includes drilled and vented 2 piece floating rotors with massive 6 piston calipers up front and 4 pistons on the rears; all with braided stainless steel brake lines. The stock sway bars were also removed and replaced with beefier Hotchkis Sport Suspension sway bars. A Mopar performance strut tower brace was added as well. These upgrades in steering make a tremendous difference over stock handling. I must say that, due to the aggressive camshaft inside the engine, when the car is in "Drive" and youre idling, such as when at a red light, the car shakes and feels like it wants to move. This is not due to anything being wrong with the car or camshaft, this just is because the engine runs a bit rich because the camshaft cut is so aggressive. If you owned any muscle cars with work done to them, or a stick shift car with a big cam, you know what Im talking about. Just letting the buyer know that so you dont think something is wrong. Of course the camshaft could be swapped if you want something less aggressive. This car with the legendary 426 engine will surely be worth a lot in the future, since it has a R/T Road and Track Package VIN, and those were the original 426 Hemi cars of the day. The car has been taken care of meticulously, with the interior and exterior being cleaned by hand regularly each week. No smoking or eating in the car was ever allowed.
