Thank you and good luck. ***** BEAUTIFUL LOOKING 1968 CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE 427/390HP 4 SPEED RALLY RED TRIBUTE CAR THAT RUNS/DRIVES WELL AND IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER TO TAKE OVER AND HAVE A LOT OF FUN. FACTORY OPTIONS: 1) Manual steering 2) Manual brakes 3) Air conditioning (parts removed) 4) Bucket seats 5) 454 chevy big block motor 6) Hardtop (painted to match, available for $600) 7) Rally wheels with white letter radial tires 8) Stock Am/Fm stereo (I do have it, not installed) 9) L-88 big block hood The car comes from Mass. where it has been collector owned. It needed some restoration when I got it, so I sent it out to my shop and had the car completely repainted a couple of years ago in Rally Red. The seats had tears in them so the bottoms of both seats were reupholstered professionally and interior was cleaned up a bit. Rally wheels were put on it with slightly wider tires than stock for a beefier stance and the rest was a little detailing work and some chrome and cleanup under the hood. Mechanically, the front end was tightened up a bit with new front end links, brakes have been overhauled with new calipers and pads throughout, and minor tune-up was performed. Overall it came out nice and is a nice driver right now. Interior is in GOOD condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats were just reupholstered on both lower cushions so they are in very good condition. Carpet is presentable. Dash has some cracks on the sides. Door panels in good shape with some repair work done to the top ends on both sides. Good steering wheel with a couple of cracks. E-brake cover is new but has holes for power windows. Convertible top is in fair shape with a couple of small holes and a rip on the passenger side by the window rubber, but overall appears in decent shape. Overall a presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood, the car currently has a 454ci motor that has been bored 0.030 over and had some minor internal upgrades, along with full headers. Starts easily and sounds great . Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble without too much play in it. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it, just tune it the way you want and you're ready to go. Shifts good although shifter is very stiff shifting to 3rd and 4th. Good clutch with plenty of life left. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, a couple of times on the highway to make sure all the gears work fine, never on any long trips. Underside looks pretty good throughout. Floors are in good shape. Frame is very nice with some scaly surface rust throughout that can easily be sanded and painted over if desired. Solid front pillars and birdcage! Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with GOOD luster for a VERY PRESENTABLE driver (NOT a showcar ). Some minor imperfections here and there from use as you would expect like small chips/minor touch-ups/tiny scratches and the like. Couple of small scratches/cracks by the front sides near the hood as is common. Missing: front grill side chrome pieces, a/c parts. Not working: horn, tach, speedo (set to "0"), clock, headlights (lights go on, but do not go up or down as they need new vacuum lines, wipers (vacuum lines need replacing), perhaps a bulb or two may need replacing. Missing a couple of small pieces by the lower front grilles. Could use carburetor rebuild. Alternator will need replacing/rebuild down the line as it may not be charging the battery all the time. Battery tray area has a couple of cracks in the fiberglass at the bottom of the compartment. Rear bumpers are pitted. Windshield has a crack and should be replaced. Convertible top rear teeth hard to release. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING 1968 CHEVY CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE 427CI/390HP 4 SPEED TRIBUTE CAR IN RALLY RED THAT HAS A LOT OF WORK DONE AND IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER TO DRIVE HER OR RESTORE IT TO THEIR LIKING!
