These auctions cost money and I don't have time to start chasing you. Thank you and good luck. ***** HERE IS A GREAT LOOKING 1971 CHEVY CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE 454CI/365HP IN MILLE MIGLIA RED THAT RUNS/DRIVES WELL AND IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER TO TAKE OVER AND HAVE A LOT OF FUN. FACTORY OPTIONS: 1) Power steering 2) Manual DISC brakes 3) Manual windows 4) Standard bucket seat interior 5) MATCHING NUMBERS 454CI/365HP 4BBL big block motor 6) L-88 big block hood 7) Tilt/telescoping steering column 8) 15" AMERICAN RACING wheels with white letter radial tires 9) White convertible top The car comes from Maryland where it has been collector owned. Basically it was an older aesthetic restoration done on the car about 15-20 years ago which included paint/bodywork with some mechanical massaging and tuning, etc. In the last few years it has been stored indoors in climate controlled garage and driven maybe once or twice a week for short trips around the neighborhood. It is MATCHING NUMBERS with the original LS-5 engine. Engine has been verified and matched with partial VIN on the chassis. Interior is in GOOD condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats in good shape with minor general wear and small puncture on bottom cushion of passenger side. Carpet is presentable. Dash pad has some cracks around speaker grills and should be replaced. Door panels in good shape with normal wear (missing inside door pulls in pictures, but I do have them!). Good steering wheel. E-brake cover is cracked and not original. Convertible top is in very good shape with no holes or tears and good rear plastic window. Overall a very presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood, the car has it's original MATCHING NUMBERS LS-5 454ci/365hp motor that is mostly stock with the exception of added HEI ignition and an Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor. Starts easily and sounds great . Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble without too much play in it. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it, just tune it the way you want and I would suggest rebuilding/replacing the carburetor in it, and you're ready to go. Shifts good and crisp. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, a couple of times on the highway to make sure all the gears work fine, never on any long trips. Underside looks pretty good throughout. Floors are in good shape. Frame is very nice as well with NO holes or welding of any sort that shouldn't be there. Solid front pillars and birdcage! Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with GOOD luster for a VERY PRESENTABLE driver (NOT a showcar). Some minor imperfections here and there from use as you would expect like small chips/minor touch-ups/tiny scratches and the like, and has mild metal-flake in it. Body is pretty straight and solid throughout, with good opening and closing doors, but does have small cracks here and there as you would expect. Missing: original vin number on pillar (new vin issued by MD state), vacuum reservoir under hood. Not working: horn, radio, headlights and wipers could use new vacuum lines, couple of console gauges not working, dash vents/heater. Carburetor needs replacing/rebuild (I will TRY to fix this before auction ends). Bumpers are pitted and need rechroming. Tilt steering column needs adjustment as it doesn't lock in place. A hint of rust by lower radiator support as is common. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A GREAT LOOKING 1971 CHEVY CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE WITH MATCHING NUMBERS 454CI/365HP LS-5 BIG BLOCK MOTOR IN MILLE MIGLIA RED THAT HAS A LOT OF WORK DONE AND IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER TO DRIVE IT WITH MINOR TLC OR RESTORE IT TO THEIR LIKING!
