Please read the entire description before bidding to understand what we are offering. This listing is for a 1965 Pontiac GTO hardtop. We purchased this car several years ago with the idea of restoring it, or preserving it in some way. It was truly purchased from a long-term barn storage and did not include the engine or transmission. It has been documented through PHS (Pontiac Historic SERVICES) as having been delivered to the dealership as follows: 389 V8Tri-Power 3x2 Carburetor Set-UpM21 4-Speed TransmissionClose-Ratio Transmission GearsHeavy-Duty Suspension ConsoleSafe-T-Track Rear End with 3.90 Gears HD FanMetallic Brake Linings and moreThis car was also ordered with Nightwatch Blue exterior and a matching Blue interior with seat belts. It also featured day/night mirror and backup lamps. We have not been able to locate the original owner or a full ownership history, but we do know that it was a Class Winner at the now defunct Avilla Raceway of northern Indiana. The front tow bars are still intact. Condition: Aside from the obvious missing drive train, the car remains relatively complete and intact. The seats are with the car. The hood hinges are missing. It appears that all of the floor and trunk panels are original and the driver quarter panel was replaced with a FULL quarter panel from another car many years ago. These areas may also be seen on the link via the About ME page for WILDTHINGS. Available Drive Train: A family member owns a running and driving 1965 Catalina sedan with a High Compression '65 389 V8 and Turbo 400 located south of Bowling Green, KY. The price for the entire car would be under $2500. He could deliver the car for $2 / mile. This GTO is authentic and, while needing work in every area, has great potential to be a valuable and fun investment project. It is currently located in a storage facility in Auburn, IN and can be seen with a 24 hour notice during business hours. I am happy to show it for full inspections. Terms of Sale Private Auction The buyer will submit a $500 deposit via Paypal or Overnight Certified Check within 48 hours of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due within 5 business days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before removal of the vehicle. If deposit or balance is not received within time frame indicated, buyer will forfeit right to purchase, vehicle will be re-listed, and negative feedback will be left. Vehicle must be picked up no later than 30 days following end of auction (above payment terms must be met). A $10/day fee may be assessed if not picked up within the 30 days. We are always willing to work with the buyer. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs that may apply. We will assist in shipping car wherever possible, but will not deliver. If you cannot meet terms of auction, DO NOT BID! Ask any and all questions before bidding. We will answer as quickly as possible. There is no warranty with the car. It is being sold AS IS with a clear Indiana title.
