These auctions cost money and I don't have time to start chasing you. Thank you and good luck. ***** BEAUTIFUL LOOKING 1955 CHEVROLET BEL AIR CONVERTIBLE WITH MATCHING NUMBERS 265CI V8 AND POWERGLIDE TRANSMISSION THAT HAS HAD AN OLDER RESTORATION AND IS IN TURN-KEY CONDITION! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Please note: vehicle comes from GA so it comes with a GA bill of sale and proof of registration. The car comes from Georgia, where it has been collector owned and lovingly used for the past decade. Previous to that it was an Alabama car, and it has been in NY for only the last few months, kept in climate controlled garage. It has had a professional body-on restoration in the past, most likely late 70s/early 80s from what the previous owner told me, but it has kept up tremendously well. Has been shown at various major cruise nights, local and larger car shows as well and always seems to draw a crowd. Original CORAL/WHITE color combination in and out looks fantastic. Lots of recent work has been done, including: NEW dual aluminized exhaust, rebuilt generator, rebuilt automatic transmission, NEW tires, rebuilt carburetor and Petronix electronic ignition conversion for more reliability. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats are nice with minor wear. Carpet is very good. Dash is very nice. Door panels in excellent shape. Nice steering wheel. Convertible top has been replaced a few years ago and is in very good overall condition. Overall a beautifully presentable high-end driver quality interior! Under the hood, the factory MATCHING NUMBERS 265ci V8 and Powerglide transmission remain. Absolutely stock with NO modifications except for the Petronix ignition for better spark. Starts easily and sounds great . Good stock power overall and brakes stop VERY WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble without too much play in it. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it right now without worries, just tune it the way you want and you're ready to go. I've driven it mostly around town here and there, and a few times on the highway on the way to a local cruise night or car show, never on any long trips. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up NICELY with good luster for a very nice driver (NOT a showcar ). Some minor imperfections here and there from use as you would expect like small chips/minor touch-ups/tiny scratches and the like. Some bubbles by the rear section at the top of the quarters where water would drain and a few by the inside of the rear driver's side tail light panel surrounding area. Inner rocker panels on both sides have rust and should be patched but you can only see it under the car. Underside has normal scaly surface rust and could use a little attention on the side braces, which usually tend to go, but overall it's pretty decent for a 50+ year old car. Trunk has had a couple of small patches and has evidence of rust by the splash panel and brace. Convertible top is power operated but has been disconnected and works manually (may need new motor or cylinders looked at). Passenger side front window is cracked. Windshield has a dime sized chip in it on the passenger side and some wiper scuffs. Chrome is overall fairly nice throughout, except by rear driver's side bumper end that has some rust spots. Minor exhaust leak. Not working: clock, radio, couple of dash gauges, may need a bulb or two replaced here and there. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING 1955 CHEVY BEL AIR CONVERTIBLE WITH MATCHING NUMBERS DRIVETRAIN, KILLER COLOR COMBO, LOW MILES ON THE ODOMETER AND YOU CAN DRIVE ANYWHERE AT THE TURN OF THE KEY! Please e-mail to CLASSICS411@AOL.COM with any and all questions. Thanks
