Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A DROP DEAD GORGEOUS FACTORY BURGUNDY 1987 MERCEDES BENZ 560 SL CONVERTIBLE WITH BOTH TOPS (SOFT & HARDTOP) AND 72,661 ORIGINAL MILES. ORIGINAL CAR WITH CLEAN HISTORY AND VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF! VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. Please note: The hardtop is in EXCELLENT condition with very nice headliner (no picture posted but can e-mail you some). I also have a set of genuine sheepskin (NOT the cheap imitations) seat covers with headrest covers as well that are included with the vehicle. The car comes from down south. It has spent it's life mostly in Florida and Georgia, only recently coming to the northeast, where it has been collector owned and maintained. This is a nicely optioned car, with the optional rear seat (as compared to the flat bench most of these older SL's come with). In the last few years, it has received a few convertible top, and general maintenance here and there as needed. Interior is in VERY GOOD condition with minor general wear here and there. Seats look good except for bottom of the passenger seat which has a couple of tears and should be redone. Door panels excellent. Good steering wheel. Dash pad has a couple of small cracks in the middle towards the air vents, quite common. Carpet is excellent. Good console. Overall a beautifully presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood the original 5.6 L engine purrs like a kitten. Starts easily and sounds great. Transmission shifts good and crisp. NO noises from the rear end. Good stock power overall and brakes stop excellent. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it everyday at the turn of the key. I've put a few miles on it myself, taking it out on the highway on several occasions and it drives solid! Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up EXCELLENT with NICE luster for a GORGEOUS driver. Only a few tiny imperfections here and there. Passenger side sunvisor needs to be reattached (I have it). Could use u-joint replacement down the line as above 50mph it makes the typical thumping sound from faulty joint. One of the lowe exhaust shields on passenger side is rusted and should be replaced. Front lower valence panel has a couple of cracks. Every once in a while there are a couple of warning lights that go on for some reason, and then they go away. Not working: power antenna won't go down, remote mirror for passenger side missing knob and only works left to right. That's about all I was able to notice from my inspection. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. OVERALL IT'S A GORGEOUS LOOKING AND EXCELLENT DRIVING LOW MILEAGE CRUISER THAT IN MY EYES CAN EASILY BE TAKEN TO SHOW CAR STATUS WITH ONLY MINOR INVESTMENT. VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A LOW 72K MILE 1987 MERCEDES BENZ 560 SL CONVERTIBLE WITH BOTH TOPS THAT IS TURN-KEY AND READY TO DRIVE ANYWHERE. AVAILABLE AT NO RESERVE!!!.
