Vehicle Detail
AUDI A6 3.2L This car is in EXCELLENT condition for the year and mileage. In fact there really isn't anything at all "wrong" with it to speak of. In the 2 years we have owned this car all I have had to do is get oil changes. RE: Carfax report. I don't know how/why the reporting comes in for the carfax reports. But I would question the report on this vehicle. Everything happened before we bought this car but it just doesn't make sense. How can the car get in what I would call a "fender bender" (right rear damage that was driven away from as shown in the report). Then the shop that repaired the vehicle did not indicate "frame damage" in 2008. But then 8 months later in 2009 a "visual inspection" indicated frame damage???? Regardless of the validity (which I can only speculate about) I know 100% fact that this car is free of any visible or noticeable defects. It runs straight, true and has nothing "wrong" with it that I have ever seen or noticed in regards to the negative carfax report. Please come and do a thorough inspection yourself. This car is FAST and it gets GREAT GAS MILEAGE. One tank of gas will take this car over 600 miles (gets well over 30 miles to the gallon combined city/hwy). Please just email and schedule to take a look. Q: Do you know when the break pads was replaced or how much life is left on them??.. How much thread life is left on the tires ??.. was all maintenance done through audi??.. and if so was the 80k service done on it early or no? How is the car in snow since it's not quattro??.. (any check lights?? and does this have nav or HID headlights?) A: No on the brake pads. I just had service done and it was not mentioned so i assume they are good. I bought tires new so they are less then 2 yrs old. I dont know for sure about previous owner but would assume all service was done at audi during warranty. I had service at audi during warranty but last couple were at local shops (conrads). I dont think 80k service was done, only routine service. My wife hates snow and is afraid of it (takes side streets instead of the highway sometimes) and she was extremely confident in the snow. I prefer rwd personally but this car was as good as any. I have personally found that the tires on the car mean more then drive. I would much rather have a RWD with good winter tires then a 4WD with average all seasons. So this car is as god as any other in the snow relatively speaking. No check lights, nothing at all really wrong with it. No HID lights. I put silver sylvania halogen so they re the brightest halogens you can buy. It does have MMI multimedia system, but NO navigation. Thnks, Eric NOTE: For the "major" 75K service on this vehicle all that would be REPLACED is the spark plugs (above and beyond your routine oil change). Everything else on the vehicle is just "checked." I have seen the service listed by Audi dealers for anywhere between $450 and $1000 but you can probably go to a VW dealer and get a much better deal. Or if you are able/willing you can just "check" everything yourself and replace the spark plugs. Here is a link to the service schedule: http://microsites.audiusa.com/ngw/11/media/downloads/pdfs/us/scheduled_maintenance/ScheduledMaintFlipChart_2006.pdf Q: This is a quattro or really just a front wheel drive? I didn't know that they even made an A6 that wasn't a quattro . . . A: Yes, it is NOT a Quattro. And i can assure you they did make one :-) That said, this is an excellent FWD vehicle and my wife (who can't stand the snow) thought it performed as good as some of her 4WD vehicles. About the only thing i noticed while driving it is that it is pretty powerful so you lose some grip during heavy acceleration. Thanks, Eric
