It was purchased by the present owner approximately a year ago from a dealer in Florida. It had been a one owner car garaged in Florida and for the past year has been garaged in Hartsville, SC. The present owner had been in the process of restoring a similar 1966 Midnight Blue Chrysler New Yorker that had been in his family since 1966. While the engine was being rebuilt at one facility the car was stolen from the restoring facility and was not recovered. This car was purchased with the intent of changing the gold color to a midnight blue to take the place of the missing car. However, the magnitude of the work involved making a complete color change and the fact that it would still not be the original car has changed the owner’s mind and he is offering it for sale. This vehicle has been well maintained and shows very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim and mechanics are in very good condition. The vehicle appears to have been repainted the original color several years ago. The only items not working are the AM radio and the rear passenger side power window. The owner has already purchased a replacement window actuator and it will be given to the purchaser. With the exception of a tear on the right back door panel (see pic) the interior is in very good condition. The engine runs very smoothly and the 4000 lb vehicle rides very smoothly. The trunk and engine compartments are in very good condition and there is a new spare tire and what appears to be a never used original bumper jack. The tires look new and the vehicle appears to have never been wrecked. The only body rust found in this 45 year old car is several small bubbles under the paint over the left rear wheel skirt. (see pic) The chrome is in excellent condition. The overall appearance is remarkable. This is the perfect example of the quality Chrysler New Yorkers that were produced in the past. These automobiles were extremely well built. The engine is a 4-barrel 440 V8. The odometer reads 57,513 actual mileage. The vehicle has power steering, power brakes, power windows and the dash is in excellent condition. It does not have air conditioning. Mechanically the car runs very strong. The transmission shifts as it should, the car has good acceleration and solid with no rattles. The original Operating Instruction Manual is included. This is a beautiful, well kept and maintained 45 year old Vintage Chrysler New Yorker 4 Door Sedan with a total of 57,513 miles. It is a rare find.
