Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice 2002 325CiC that I am the second owner of. I bought this car in July of 2010 and did a lot of work to it. The original owner put a lot of miles on it but took very good care of it as well. The car was garaged when it was at home and while at work. I keep it garaged as well. This 325ci Convertible is Oxford green metallic on the exterior and sand leather on the interior. The car came with a Premium Package which includes auto dimming rear view mirror, full power top, wood trim on interior, and integrated garage door opener. Also included was the cold weather package which consists of heated front seats, headlight washers, and ski bag. The car also has glass rear window with defroster, tilt / telescopic steering wheel, 10 speaker stereo, power windows and locks, alarm, keyless entry, dual power seats, cruise control, power assisted steering, traction control, and anti lock brakes. When I bought the car it was completely stock but had a dent in the front of the hood and broken grill inserts. The following list of work has been performed within the last 14 months and 7000 miles: All fluids replaced including brake, power steering, rear, and transmission. I put full synthetic Mobil 1 75-90w gear oil in the rear, and Royal Purple full Synthetic manual trans oil in the transmission. New valve cover gasket with head and timming chain inspection. New over-flow bottle and radiator hoses with fresh coolant, rebuilt front end with new A-arms, bushings, and tie rods. New Bosch Laser Platinum plugs, and new cabin air filter. Black factory BMW mats.New battery, I also had the car realigned after the front end was rebuild. The brakes were replaced right before I bought the car, and I was told the clutch was replaced at 171,000 so I didnt need to worry about either of those. After driving the car for a couple weeks to make sure it was running good I started the cosmetic improvements. I went with a VIS Carbon fiber GTR hood that I had painted to match the rest of the car. I have full carbon fiber grill inserts in the hood. I went with a M3 rear spoiler to accent the hood. I de-badged the car and installed carbon fiber looking BMW symbols. I also installed a set of Zinik 18" wheels with 225-40-18 tires. The overall tire size is the same as the 16"s that came on the car so the speedometer and ABS are not effected. Also installed smoked blinkers as well. For performance I did the following: new suspension which included new Eibach Pro-kit springs and new gas filled shocks and struts. Also installed new strut mounts with sealed bearings for less drag. The over-all stance of the car has been lowered about 1" in the front and .8" in rear. I then had another 4 wheel alignment done. I installed 15mm aluminum rear wheel spacers and longer lug bolts to bring the rear wheels out tight to the fender wells to give it a more wedge look. Also installed a Cold air intake, custom exhaust, and transmission un-lock valve for non-restrictive fluid flow. The car handles very well, while the ride quality is only slightly stiffer than stock. Also included with the car is a custom made bottle of touch up paint, original air box, Original window sticker, original tan mats, original muffler, original yellow blinkers, front tag mount, original emblems and hood struts, original owners manual, and a folder of receipts from most the described work performed. The car is not perfect. The car is a "3 footer" from 3 feet away it looks like a show car, but when you get up close you see some little inperfections in the paint and things like that. You really have to look for imperfections to find them. The interior looks very good but the leather on the drivers seat is worn through on the outer edge. The local upholstery shop said this is a $100.00 repair. The tires will need replaced soon, they are getting close to the wear lines. The wheels were originally all chrome but where painted black in the centers. The paint doesnt look factory but doesnt look terible either. Everything works as it should with the exception of one thing, the oil sensor. When you turn the car on the low oil light will come on for about 10 seconds. this is an easy replaceable part that costs about $100.00. Otherwise, there isnt any option or accessory that doesnt work as it did when new, if something quit working then it was repaired or replaced. This has always been a garaged second car for me, so I never had to rush through any work I was doing to it to get it back on the road. I have had this car up on a lift a couple of times and I cannot find any rust. I have been all through this car and know it top to bottom and I still get amazed at how clean it is. The car has a clean carfax as well. Please dont let the miles deter you, this car runs, drives and looks very good. If anything, simply because of the miles my price on this car is almost half of what I have seen the same car with a 150k selling for, and I bet they dont have the maintenance work done to them that this car has. Whenever anyone rides with me or see's the car they cant believe it has that many miles. I wouldnt had wasted the money fixing this car up if it was on it's last leg. The car does not leak or burn anything. There are no squeaks or valve noise when you start it up cold. This is a solid car. Tight and quiet when you drive down the highway, you'd never know you were even in a convertible much less one with 200k miles. People cant help but look at it, and I get a lot of compliments. The car is very dependable and a joy to drive, so much so that my family and I drove it up north to the beach for a week this past summer. This is my third BMW and it is going to be replaced by another. Please keep in mind that these cars are not that cheap to by parts for. For those of you who know what the replacement and performance parts cost for these cars than you can appreceate the work that has been done to this one. Here is the link for the video my wife and I made. I thought this would be a good way for you to further see what you would be buying. If you are serious about buying the car and wanted to see a video of something specific then I would be happy to do so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33O3qaQ4Fxc Buyer must pick the car up within 14 days of end of auction. I would like a $200.00 paypal deposit within 24 hours of end of auction. The car is located in Middletown MD 21769. Any question please feel free to ask.
