This Mercedes is very well equipped for its time power windows and locks, rear defogger, leather seats, climate control, intermittent wipers, convertible soft top, hard top, and a powerful 4.5L V8 Mercedes Motor. All the options can be seen on the original window sticker. Every old car has a story and this one is no exception. We purchased this SL privately and could see right away that this Mercedes was well kept has tons of potential. It comes with 2 tops, original manuals, window sticker and a bunch of service records. The body of this Mercedes is in good all around condition. There are no visible spots of rust and the body looks solid . All panels appear to be original. The paint looks good from 10 feet away but a closer inspection shows a few discolored spots (usually due to a prior repaint many years ago). The tires are in good shape.The soft and hard tops are in good shape . The soft top was replaced about 4 years ago. The interior is in great shape, very clean, and original except the radio. Everything works except the air conditioning. The seats are in great shape all around. The dash has some cracks (photos up close). The trunk is very clean. There is one very minor crack on the windshield we photographed up close. Mechanically this Mercedes is in excellent condition and runs great. The motor and transmission are solid. Just jump in start, and drive your self back in time :-) ...This car is well taken care off and all service history is documented. This SL can be driven as -is or would be a perfect candidate for a mild restoration. You can restore any car but having service records, manuals, tops, window sticker etc, always adds value. In order to secure bid on vehicle, Successful bidder (BUYER) must within 24 hours of bid closing send to Seller a Deposit in the amount of $400 by major credit card, paypal, cash(in person) or bank certified funds. Within 72 hours of bid closing, Buyer must send balance of funds by bank wire transfer, cash (in person), bank certified funds to Seller. At time of sending initial deposit, Buyer MUST fax copy of their State issued valid Driver Licence. Furthermore, before said vehicle is released for shipment to Buyer, all other Sale related and title related paperwork must be signed and returned complete to Seller. Please be sure to have full payment and/or approved financing established prior to placing final bid. A $95 document fee applies to all transactions.
