This car was a barn find in a garage here locally. We started with a completely original car with no major damage; it was repainted the original Signal Yellow. Our goal was to offer a show/driver quality car and we are very proud of the results. The 1968 911L was one year production model. The 911S that would not meet the new smog regulations in the US that year so mid year (march) they detuned the 911S and were able to meet the regulations hence the L meaning “late model”. Our sources tell us that they only built 448 of the 911L’s, so this is truly a unique car.

This car has been an endeavor of love, we tried to use as many original replacement parts as possible. We disassembled the motor and found it to be in extremely good condition so we reassembled it with all new gaskets to assure no oil leakage. The motor responds just as a 911S should as it now has none of the restrictions it had when it was new.

We had Al Reed restore all 5 Fuch wheels and Bruce Crawford restore the original wood steering wheel. Both these guys are the best in the business. We used all German materials on the interior; the dash is original and looks like new, NO cracks.

I believe we accomplished what we set out to do. This is a car that will surly get the praise from anyone who looks at it and certainly put a smile on the face of anyone who drives it.
