1968 Pontac Firebird Convertible Very nice original first generation firebird convertible . All numbers matching drive train, V8, 350. The car came with the following factory options: automatic transmission, A/C, power windows, power top, power disc brakes, power steering, tilt steering, deluxe interior, original factory tinted glass, remote mirror, console factory clock, engine & trunk courtesy light. This car is in driver-quality condition, not a show car. It is mostly used by my wife to take our son to school, to the tennis courts, and family ice cream runs on the weekends. In the past 2 years, we have completely rebuilt the front end: new bushings on powder coated a-arms, steering linkage, sway bar, idler arm, front coil springs, kyb gas shocks - front and back, new disc brakes and factory rebuilt 4 piston calipers, all new brake lines from front to back, new master cylinder, proportioning valve and booster, new steering box and hoses, new heater hoses, new alternator & voltage regulator, new carburator with chrome air cleaner, and new fuel line from pump to carb. Other work we have done: new outside door handles, new power window switch and harness, new wheels, new tires - BFGoodrich T/A radials, new power antenna (installed, but not yet wired), indash dual speaker. These original parts will be included with the sale: 2 barrel carburator and intake, 4 original Pontiac rims, AC compressor bracket. The paint is faded, AC compressor is missing, the trunk pan is rusty and should be replaced - see pics, floor has some rust but okay for driver, overall interior and carpet is in good shape, no rips, burns or tears. The convertible top is in good shape with one small tear that was repaired on the rear driver side.
